I was running around the bedroom looking for my Swedish phone. It was currently ringing but I couldn’t find it in there and I was about to go insane just as I found it and looked at the screen. It was my own phone ringing and I was confused and questioned whether to answer or not. But of course I answered the phone but I didn’t introduce myself.
“Hey, I think you’ve dropped your phone.”
I didn’t say anything. Niall’s Irish accent was clinging through my phone. He couldn’t know it was mine. Why did he pick up my phone? Why him of all people.
“Yeah I did…”
“Do you want me to drop it off for you somewhere?”
“Sure, where did you find it btw?”
“I found it in Camden Town down by the lake by the building at the end of the road.”
“Oh okay… can you drop it off there?”
“Never mind. Is there somewhere less public we can meet?”
I smiled because he was trying to hide who he was and he didn’t want to be seen with some stranger in public.
“Sure, meet me at Kenning Street close to Canada Water station.”
“Great, I’ll be there with your phone ASAP, who shall I look for?”
“The brown haired girl with a cap and black pants, I’ll come out from my apartment, let me know when you get here.”
I hung up and panicked a little, what should I do. Maybe snap some pictures of him before I leave the apartment when he first gets here or?
I was confused. He seemed so calm about it, yet I still couldn’t believe that he was acting doing such an act of kindness about a mobile. I wouldn’t have made the effort if I had found a phone unless I could get into it and check whose it was.
I was waiting impatiently in the apartment for the little Irish guy to come by with my phone and it just seemed to never happen. It must have taken him at least 50 minutes before I saw the car I knew way to well park outside on the road close to where I was staying. I took my camera and looked through the lens before I focused and then snapped a few pictures of him as he got out of the car. I saw him playing around with my phone and soon I heard my Swedish phone ring.
“Hey, I can’t see you, you around?”
“Sure. Just give me a second.”
I hung up and found some shoes to wear before I walked outside dressed in my black jeans and a huge knitted shirt I had just swung around me before I had gone out.
Up in my window stood my camera and kept snapping pictures of Niall and soon me as well. I needed the money so I would need the pictures as well. I walked down not scared to show my face or who I really was, yet I was still covering myself from the camera, I would have to manipulate the pictures but it didn’t matter. I was a professional when it came to pictures, I knew everything about them and I would always do. This was something that couldn’t be taken from me.
I crossed the street and walked a little down just to see Niall turn around and face me.
He spoke to me and smiled all over his face. He seemed mesmerised by my appearance but I couldn’t think about that now, I just needed my phone back.
“What’s your name?”
“Diana and yours?”
“Well pleasure to meet you Niall, can I have my phone?”
He handed me the iPhone 5 with the British flag on the back. This was how I could tell the difference on my phones. I took the phone as he handed it to me and sent him back a smile.
“Thanks, and thanks for bringing it back. Most people wouldn’t have cared.”
“Usually I wouldn’t either but I found it when I was running away.”
“Sounds fun. Well Niall it was lovely to meet you but I better get back to work and I am sure you also have plenty of better things to do than hanging around a girl like me.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“You’re a bit naïve aren’t you Mr Horan?”
“You know me?”
“The entire world knows you, thanks for stopping by with my phone though. It was really nice of you.”
“Shall we get a picture before you leave?”
I stood out with my phone and was ready to take the selfie I needed to complete the journey of 2/5 of One Direction to my pictures with celebrities.
He smiled at me and posed next to me before I snapped the picture of us with my phone.
“Good luck with your career and again it was lovely to meet you and thank you for giving me my phone back.”
I smiled at him and left to go back inside. I know most people wouldn’t have reacted the way I did if they had gotten the chance to speak with Niall Horan, but you must understand it was different for me. My crew and I had done this for years. Sneaking around taking pictures with and off people without them knowing much about it was a part of who I was as a person.
I threw my phone on the table next to the cup of coffee I had made about 20 minutes ago and went over to get my camera. I started going through the pictures and I enjoyed watching them. My camera had snapped about 150 pictures while I had been outside and it was far from all of them that would be used. But that was how it was it was just another part of the job.
It took me forever to find the pictures I wanted to use and it was a nightmare to go through them all. I was sipping my coffee and going through all of the pictures I had gotten through the day. I had a lot even though I hadn’t been here for long.
After about 45 minutes I decided it was time to post the selfie I had gotten with Niall outside. I went to my Facebook page where I posted all of the pictures I got with people.
Finally got 2/5. Niall was a sweetheart and took back my phone when I had dropped it in Camden Town earlier. Thank you very much Niall, meant a lot to me to get it back.
I wasn’t the one to be too cheesy with the text I just wanted to write something. I posted the picture and then took another look at it. Soon all of the comments rolled in and everyone was going mental. It didn’t take me 5 minutes to get up on 100+ likes on the pictures and I knew it was going to be more very, very soon. But I guess that was the life I had chosen when I stepped into this. This was who I was now.
