6. The Gentleman and Jack
It had been a few days, I found no one. By now it was noon. The heat was painful. Luckily I couldn't get tired so I pressed on. I heard someone, but It wasn't who I wanted to hear. Nathan. I grew angry, but inquisitive. "Why is he here?" I thought. I treaded slowly to the sound of his voice. I looked from behind a building. He was there. His pet aside of him. The one who killed Chris. At least fifty of Nathan's soldiers gathered around. These were mere humans. But were smarter and had great tactics. It was rare for them to be outside of an encamptment. Nathan started speaking, so I listened carefully. "Good afternoon my dear men," he bellowed. His suit and top hat made him seem like a gentleman, yet he was no such thing. "I'd like to introduce you to my new pets. Jack and Ainsley." That's what it was called. But who is Ainsley. An assasin bowed, His mask was amazing. it was silver, long and resembled that of a evil priest. His cloak was inscribed with red writing. Japanese I believe. Nathan continued, "Now I know some people don't like me, but let me tell you. If you dare go against me. This is your fate." A soldier was pushed onto the stage. He clenched his fists and ran at Nathan, pulling out a machete. Nathan smiled and lifted his walking stick. It was black. I couldn't see what the head was. The man swung with all his might. Nothing happened. Nathan kept deflecting each attack without no problem. His hat tipped as he ducked, Cracking the man across his knees, forcing him to the ground. He walked up to the man, pushing the end of his stick against his head. "I shall fight three more men after this one. Watch carfeully, learn about their actions." The man stiffened, a look of shock in his eyes. He fell. A bloody blade was petruding out of the stick. Three more men attacked. Nathan didn't even break a sweat. He parried their shots perfectly. How? Nathan incapacitated two of the men with ease. He smiled, but something was wrong. He glanced at his suit. It was ripped and he was bleeding. I smiled. He can be hurt. The soldier smiled too. But his glee turned to horror when Nathan swiftly pulled out a revolver and fired. Within a second Nathan had won what seemed to be an interesting fight. I felt sorry for the soldier. He had hope, then he lost his head. Literally. I had to get of there. I may be enhanced but Nathan is a enemy that only the best can even dare fight. Even they would die. I left the place searching for the others. I needed company. I was turning into someone I hated being. A lone wolf.
