For What Lies Hidden

A collection of all my poetry in an order I think makes reading it even more fun and exciting.

3. Under the Stars

I wrote under the stars

That I was trapped behind bars.

I lay back on the fence

 Trying to make sense

 Of what to write next

About this person who was vexed.

I wrote under the moon

That I would come out soon.

 I lay against a wall

 To work out the fall

 Of this person

 Who wanted not to worsen.

I wrote under the cloud

That I was hidden by a shroud.

I lay back in the field

 To find a shield

 That would protect my character

 From penetrations of a barrister.

But under the cover of pure darkness

I wrote of light and liberation, escape from this mess.

I did not lie but walk

To get my person to talk

Of what they had got experience

And how it would go to clearance.

And under the sun,

Daylight always won.

 I was freed from

 My ever ticking time bomb

Which had haunted all my days,

 Worked itself into my ways.
