105. Give Way To Tears
Tears stream down my cheeks,
Their paths glisten in the artificial light.
This hasn't happened for weeks,
Not even during the night.
Surely this shows weakness
But I've begun to think it's because I care,
I want to live with happiness
And not give it to others and share.
Knowing I can't cope
But trying to believe I can,
As the tears coil around my eyes like a rope
I realise I need to stand firm and be a man.
Tears like these
Give me a break,
Not unlike visiting the sea,
And calm me down so I cease to shake.
Liberation is found in crying,
Somewhere for solace,
I no longer feel like I'm dying,
I have escaped pressure and malice.
