For What Lies Hidden

A collection of all my poetry in an order I think makes reading it even more fun and exciting.

86. Facade

My life is

Merely a façade

In which I constantly pretend

To be the person I wish to be.

No one knows me

In reality

And they would realise this

If they looked into my mind.

I'm living a façade,

Putting up barriers

Between how I feel

And how I act.

Inside I'm falling apart

Unsure of where to turn;

Outside I am composed,

Assured and strong.

I long to scream and shout

To tell the world

That I'm not real,

That it's all a facade.
