For What Lies Hidden

A collection of all my poetry in an order I think makes reading it even more fun and exciting.

Fear rising in my stomach

Butterflies flutter and turn double somersaults

 I breathe deeply

And turn to seize the envelope.

Anticipation bubbles through my veins

 Making my brain feel explosive

I tremble as I touch the paper

Slowly pulling it from its captor.

Unwillingness to read the letters

 Longing to know my fate

 I turn the paper over

As if it would announce my death.

Joy leaps through my heart

 Gladness easing worries

All is well, relief is found

And finally the wait is over.
