"I'm listening, Scarlett. What's your plan?" Liam walked into the kitchen with a grim smile on his face, soon followed by Louis who had an air of triumph written on his face.
"Louis...Liam..." Zayn stuttered their names, his mouth and eyes wide opened at the sight of his two old mates.
"You're alive! I knew that!" he exclaimed and it seemed a wave of emotions filled him in as tears started to form in his eyes. He stepped closer toward them and hugged Louis. But Louis didn't hug him back. He pointed a gun at Zayn's chest and pushed him away.
"Glad to see you, Zayn." Louis smirked.
"What does that...?" Zayn started to speak but didn't finish his sentence.
"They are alive, Zayn. And so are you. For now. You won't be so soon," I spat, anger growing in me.
Liam looked daggers at me and shrugged his shoulders while turning back toward Zayn.
"Yes, she's right. Kind of."
"I don't get it..." Zayn muttered and I noticed fear beginning to sparkle in his eyes. "What does that mean? Liam? Louis?" He surely didn't want to believe what was going on but none of his friends would deny anything.
Louis suddenly laughed. "What does that mean?" he repeated. "It means that you were the last one. Now everything is almost over." And he kept on laughing.
Seeing Zayn's sad and shocked face made me feel bad. If I hadn't come here, he might have safe a little longer.
Then, Louis slightly pushed Zayn aside and turned to face me.
"It's your turn, now." He smirked while crossing his arms on his chest. Liam stepped closer toward me and I felt shivers running up my backbone as I felt his hot breath against my skin.
"I'm afraid it's time to say goodbye." I froze at the sound of his voice echoing in my mind. My time has come.
Louis sighed loudly and growled, "Liam, I still don't get why I can't do the job now!" Hang on... what? He can't do what? Did that mean I wasn't dead yet?
"Louis..." Liam sighed, walking back toward Louis. "Paul said it was too early. And if you don't agree, go and tell him yourself! We can't deal with another dead body yet. It's too early."
Liam's words hit me like a bullet. They were talking about Andrew. Boiling with anger, I rushed toward Liam and grabbed his T-shirt, taking him aback.
"Who killed Andrew? Which one of you did kill him?" I spat at him as a few tears started to ran down my face at the thought of Andrew. Liam didn't answer; he just stared at me with a cold expression written on his face. Louis began laughing again.
"Actually, we don't know. It was dark and we didn't see properly. Maybe it was Liam, maybe it was me. Or maybe the two of us."
My whole body was shaking and I felt weaker and weaker. How could he talk in such a cold voice about a man they had killed?
I released Liam to wipe away my tears.
"And what happened to Niall?" I asked sharply, though I was dreading the answer.
No answer. "What happened to Niall?" I shouted again. The two men didn't reply but just smirked at the same time.
Beside me, I saw Zayn starting to shake as well. He clenched his fists and yelled at them, "You did something to Niall, didn't you? How could you two do that? What's wrong with you?" Anger was written in his eyes.
Louis just shrugged his shoulders. "You'll find out soon enough."
"Enough chatting for today. It's time to go," Liam changed subject. I saw Louis walking toward Zayn, who screamed in pain, while Liam stepped again toward me.
I heard him mutter, "goodbye," and everything went black.
