There's no other person Holly loves more than Eli, even though at first she wants to hate him with every fiber in her being. Her teenage heart still lives inside her, sometimes when you're so in love you need to pause and just feel.

“A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri

I have died every day waiting for you
Darling, don't be afraid I have loved you
For a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more

And all along I believed I would find you
Time has brought your heart to me
I have loved you for a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more

I smoothed out any imaginary wrinkles on the white chiffon over my belly. I sighed and looked out the window that overlooked the ceremony space. All our family and friends were sitting and waiting for me.

“Ready to go?” Sam asked.

“Almost,” I said smiling.

“You’ve come such a long way,” she said her voice choking up.

“So have you, I mean the little twerp who didn’t want to grow up, has a family and I’m getting married, who would’ve known,” I joked.

“Well before Rob comes to take you away, you’ve got your something new, and a little birdie tells me Rob and your mom have your something old. So here’s your something blue and something borrowed,” she said handing me sapphire encrusted earrings.

“Oh my goodness, I can’t,” I said.

“They’re my mom’s. She’d want nothing more than for you to wear them too,” she said smiling before leaving.

“Ready?” Rob asked peeking his head in with my mom behind him.

“Of course,” I said picking up my bouquet.

“Before we go, your mom and I have your something old, it’s your nana’s bracelet,” he said clasping it on.

“You’ve never looked more beautiful,” my mom said tearing up.

“Let’s get going before we all start crying,” Rob teased.

My mom walked down first and we watched her sit down through the window. We heard the piano and cello duo start and that was our cue. Rob fixed my veil and intertwined our arms. The doors opened and all I could see was Eli at the end of the way. Nothing else mattered because he was there. And he was going to be mine.

“Now if you may please read your vows. Eli, proceed.” The pastor said as Eli unfolded a piece of paper.

“When I met you I never thought this is where we’d end up. I never thought I would get to call you mine forever. And I’m so lucky that despite all the bad I gave you, you could still see the good. I will never be able to express just how much I love you and our soon to be son,” he finished.

“Sydney, please,” our pastor encouraged.

“I’m a cardio fellow, which means I work with hearts all day. That means I know what I’m doing. I’m always sure, so I’m sure of this: I’m sure that I love you, and that I will forever cherish you until the end of time. I have no time to hope that I will be these things, I know I will be.” I say earning a few sniffles and tears gleaming in Eli’s eyes.

“Lovely, the rings?” the pastor asks.

Sam and John near with the rings.

“Sydney Holiday Anderson, do you take Eli Matthew Plascencia to be your husband?” he asks.

“I do,” I say as Eli slides my wedding band onto my finger.

“Do you Eli Matthew Plascencia take Sydney Holiday Anderson to be your wife?” he asks.

“I do,” Eli whispers as I slide his wedding band onto his fingers.

“By the power vested in my given by the state of California, I pronounce you husband and wife, you may now kiss your bride,” the pastor says smiling.

We spent the rest of the night being congratulated and thanked, but all I wanted was to leave with my now husband. The night went perfectly and without a hitch and I had never felt more happy or complete than in that moment.

When the time came, I changed out of my wedding dress into a light summer blue dress, and met Eli at the doors of the venue. Everyone cheered and blew bubbles as we ran off into the getaway car and waved goodbye from the window.

(So I finally updated, and sorry to say actually finished the whole thing, hence the many chapters that have been added. Hope you enjoy and so sorry for taking forever! Love, Vic xxx)
