Half way to Interesting

When 16 year old Avah is sent across the globe to live with her estranged father in a foreign land she honestly wasn't expecting much, but when she caught the eye of a mystery boy on the train she had no idea her life was about to become, to say the least, very interesting.

5. Chapter 4

When we got to the next town over that has the High Schools my dad was reading off a list of addresses to the driver. The first school was an all girls school. Let me repeat that one more time. ALL. GIRLS. SCHOOL!!! No thanks. To much estrogen, not enough testosterone. Right as soon as we pulled up and I saw that sign I refused to get out of the car. I have no idea what my dad was thinking of making this a possible school for me. Does he not know I don't really get along with girls?!
"Avah lets go. Get out of the car!!"

Umm hell no. You told me I would be the one to get to choose where I'll be spending the next three years, and it sure as hell won't be at an all girls school. Is what I wanted to yell at him, but I chose not too.

"I don't wanna go here. To many females."

"At least come look at the school. We already have an appointment with the director and head master. So please be respectful of other peoples time. Lets go."

I groaned out loud, but I'm determined to make my dad see that I won't be happy going to this school or any of his choice and to just let me decide. It may seem a bit immature of me but he taught me to never go back on my word, so he should do the same. As I got out of the car I followed my dad up the path to the school. The building looked like a castle from one you would see kings live in, it was THAT huge. Some of the windows had stained glass, like you would see in churches. And the girls uniforms were long dresses. That was another automatic NO in my book. Seriously dad, what the hell are you thinking. The only time I'll ever wear a long dress is if it's a summer maxi dress.

As we were walking through the halls heading to the headmasters office we were passing some students and teachers, soon after silent mummers filled the halls, stares from all directions looking and following me. I'm obviously not going to be wanted here.

"Dad I don't think I'll be accepted here. They're all staring at me."

Even though I don't wanna go to this stuffy all girls school, I'm just tired of being stared at and talked about. When we reached the headmasters office, as soon as I sat down a girl in the schools uniform approached me and introduced herself as the Student Body President and handed me a student handbook. She looked me up and down, scoffed and took her previous place near the headmasters desk. Clearly my attire, and the way I look is against the schools rules.

"As a matter of fact it is."

I looked towards the mysterious male voice and to no surprise it was the headmaster. He had a smile on his face, i looked towards my dad and he put his head in his hand and sighed.

"If my daughter was to come here she'd have to dye her hair and remove her piercings I'm assuming, Mr Headmaster!?"

"Indeed she would I'm afraid."

"That's not gonna happen, I'm an individual with own individuality. I'm sorry dad but this school won't work for me. I'm sorry for wasting your time Mr. Headmaster, I'll be waiting in the car."

As I excused myself and left the room I was walking through the halls to head for the main entrance but with the multiple halls and the size of the school I kept getting lost. But eventually I found the main hallway, just as I was about to turn down to the main entrance my attention was pulled away by one of the students calling out to me. Tall, slender, long black hair slicked back into a ponytail, and dark brown eyes sizing me up and down but eventually they came to settle on my hazel eyes.

"Can I help you or something?!"

I asked her but I had no interest in what she had to say. She probably thinks she's better than me or something. I despises people like her with that mentality.

"This school doesn't need people like you to taint its reputation and it's student body. Just leave you're stinking it up. "

She laughed as she turned to her friends who were glaring at me as she was talking useless junk. *Yawn* how boring.

"And what type of "people" am I?! Cause from my understanding I'm a normal female, not some stuck up bitch trying to intimidate someone. And badly at that mind you. So if you have nothing else to say I'll be leaving now. "

I waited a minute or two and when nothing more was said I nodded my head "Thought so." And went down the path towards the car. Just as I was about to open the door to get in. In a loud screech.

"What a crazy bitch. "

I muttered to myself. Definitely won't be going to this school. Nice choice dad. When my dad and the women got to the car he tried to reprimand me for my actions. I simply told him he should have just let me chose where I want to go. He said flatly that that will be the final decision if nothing else happens works out.

We went to two other all girls schools but to no avail for my dad. They all said the same thing.

"If you're to come here you'll have to change your appearance."

Like bloody hell I will. I'm expressing my individuality I'm not changing for no one. Especially for some school.  When I was heading towards the entrance of another school who wants me to change my appearance I saw a group of guys walking by and I noticed something drop on the ground. As I went towards it to pick it the group was already gone. I took a closer look at it.

"Student Handbook Demura High"

"Demura High. What school is that?!"

I looked inside of it for some type of identification. Written inside: Kia Kemura

Unbeknownst to me this day was about to get even more interesting.
