I changed into a pair of sweats and sat down to watch TV. I looked at my cigarettes and got mad. I threw them at the wall and didn't bother to pick them up.
A loud bang came from the door.
I slowly got up, picked up a chip and stuffed it into my mouth, and walked to the door.
When I opened it, Logan was inches away from me.
I was expecting him to yell. Or to give me the silent treatment. Or to grab me and throw me into his car and take me to the police station. I wasn't expecting what he did.
He looked at me for a few seconds, a pissed off expression on his face, and slammed his lips against mine. He took his anger out on our kiss.
Like I said, I've never really kissed anyone. So I didn't know what to do until Logan put his hands on my face and slowly moved them down to my hips. I let myself go, hopping I was doing this kissing thing right.
After what felt like hours, Logan pulled away angrily and breathless. His face set in a scowl, he pulled me into a tight hug.
While we were hugging I closed the door to give us some privacy. People were starting to stare. WERID people.
"How'd you know I was here?" I asked, confused.
He still wouldn't loosen his grip. "I went to the bar, thinking you'd be there. I convinced the bartender to tell me where you were."
"How did you know I was even there?"
"Well, I figured that since you were running away from me, you'd want to, uh... 'Forget your problems' for a while. Plus, that's where we met."
My cheeks burned. I was glad he couldn't see my face.
"Why'd you run away for me?"
He pulled away from our long-lasting hug and sat on the bed, holding my small, cold hands in his large, gentle hands. "Madison, you know you can trust me."
I looked into his ocean blue eyes. "I just..." I had to look away. "I just don't know you that well. I trust you, but we're not really close and I felt like I..." My voice got lower. "Was starting to like you."
He was quiet. And I still didn't have the guts to look at him. "Will you come back home with me?"
"You found me, like I told you NOT to do. I guess I kind of have to." I said, finally looking at him.
His face brightened and he smiled. "Great! And didn't worry. I called Blake on my way here and they didn't call your agent for CPS. You're not gonna get in trouble."
I sighed, feeling better.
"Do you want me to leave so you can get ready...?" He asked slowly.
I shook my head. "No. I just need to change. But I'll only go if you do me a few favors."
He got serious. "Anything to make you come."
"You have to sing to me."
He laughed. "Are you kidding?"
I shook my head, dead serious. "Now. And, you're going to FaceTime me every night before I go to sleep and sing me a song then too."
His face got red and he laughed awkwardly.
I started to lay back down. "Well I guess I'm gonna stay..."
He sighed. "Fine..." He took a deep breath and sung "I'd like to be/ under the sea/ in an Octopus's Garden with you/ he'd let us in/ knows where we've been--"
I interrupted him with my laugh. It was beautiful, but such a random song. "Octopus's Garden? Really Logan?" I was still laughing.
He smiled shyly. "Whatever, but I did it, so now you have to come."
I told him to save my number because I'd be expecting a FaceTime call later tonight.
Once I was ready and checked out of the hotel, we were heading back to my house, an hour and a half away.
With the trip just beginning, Logan said "Madison?"
"What's exactly happening with 'us' right now...?"
