Chris: Y'all niggas too thug to be together. Y'all babies gon' come out bustin' caps in muthafuckas, watch!
August: Nigga, fuck you! I love my Thugger
Chris: Uh-oh, the thugger got the thug pussy-whipped!
Chuckling, I shook my head.
August: Man, whatever.
My boy, Chris, is crazy. It may seem like Ariana got me pussy whipped and hey it might be true, but I love that girl. She's the only one that can pull out that side of me. Ariana's my everything. I don't need nobody else. After talking to Chris, I realized that I really hadn't talked to Ariana all day, so I decided to see what she was up to.
I called her cell phone, but it immediately went to voicemail. I tried a couple more times before assuming that she was probably still handling her business. I didn't wanna distract her and have anything happen, so I figured she'll just hit me up when she was done.
I was sitting at a red light, on my way home from a quick hustle, estimating how much I picked up today. Not too many females slang, but it's how I get my paper. Honestly, I'm not too fond of it but it's not something that I can just drop whenever. I guess it's just one of those things I'll get out of one day or die doing it.
The light finally turned green and I sped off, getting on the freeway. Snapping my attention away from the road, my phone started to vibrate in the passenger's seat until it fell on the floor. I figured it was probably August since I hadn't spoken to him since this morning, so I reached down to answer it, but it was out of my reach. I swear I love August to death. He holds my heart in his hands and no one can ever replace him .
Leaning over further 'til my foot came off the accelerator causing me to slow down, I heard a truck horn behind me. Before, I could put my foot back on the gas, I felt my car swing to the other side of the freeway. . Feeling my body go numb, eye sight get blurry, and hearing muffled horns the only thing I could think about was August.
It's been a few hours and I still haven't heard a word from Ari. It wasn't like her to not hit me up whenever business would take longer than expected. This didn't happen much, but I got worried. No matter what I tried to stay optimistic, but due to the business that she's in I couldn't help, but to think the worst.
After what seemed like forever, my phone finally rang and I answered on the first ring, just knowing it would be her.
Woman: Is this the home of Ariana Jay?
Me: Yeah, who is this?
Woman: I'm nurse Jones at Memorial Hospital and I was calling with news in reference to Ms. Jay. What is your relation to her?
August: I'm her boyfriend! What the hell is going on?
Woman: I'm sorry, but Ms. Jay was in a serious car accident and we're not sure if she's going to make it.
Not even bothering to hear the rest, I hauled my ass out the house and straight to the hospital. The entire way there, my heart seemed like it was shattering with every mile. Ariana was fighting for her life and I couldn't help, but to feel like the shit was my fault. I had no time to wallow in my guilt, I had to get to my heart, my love, my THUGGER.
