My head throbbed as I lay in a soft bed. The strong scent of bleach and cleaner filled the room. I heard the tone of beeping next to me. I cringed softly at the throbbing pain in my back and called out softly, my voice scratchy and quiet.
I see slight movement in the corner of my eye and turn my pounding head towards it. I wasn't shocked to see my mom in a chair snoring softly, a slight worried frown on her face.
I took my hand out from under the blanket and nudged her gently. Her eyes popped open and she jumped slightly. When she saw my eyes open, she burst into tears and held my hand to her chest. She sobbed and mumbled incoherently.
"My baby, my poor baby."
I smiled gently at her and rose my hand up to wipe her tears away. She gave a teary chuckle and wiped away the remainder.
I coughed weekly and the sharp pain that went through me made me wince. My mom noticed and quickly called the nurse.
After loading me up with pain meds, she left, leaving my mom and me in a comfortable silence. I turned to her and saw her staring at me with love in her eyes.
"What?" I asked nervously.
She just smiled and kissed my forehead. "I thought I lost you."
I smiled weakly before I felt tears well up in my eyes. Her smile dropped and she soothingly said sweet words to me as I began to sob loudly.
"H-he found me." I sobbed as I clutched to my moms shirt. The salty tears made the cuts on my face sting.
My mom wiped my tears away gently until I stopped crying and dialed down to loud hiccups.
"W-where's Louis?" I asked after I got my emotional moment under control.
My mom smiled at me and answered.
"He's in the room right next door." She answered with a knowing smirk.
I blushed furiously and asked where Angel, Mason and Jason where. She answered telling me they were in the next room over.
The doctor came in a few minutes later telling me the extension of my injuries.
The first thing I noticed about him was that he was incredibly hot for a doctor, but too old for me. He was about my moms age.
My moms jaw dropped when he walked in and she blushed and awkwardly coughed when he smirked at her.
My mother for her age of 32 was very beautiful, with full lips, dark hair and green eyes. She always attracted unwanted attention from men, which she despised.
I saw the doctor check her out and smile. I giggled quietly when he turned his attention to me, looking flustered. I rose an eyebrow at him and smiled kindly. He nervously chuckled and walked towards my bed. Standing at the foot of it, he began.
"Louis, you were in an accident and the police outside would want you give out some evidence." he explained to me with a deep alluring voice. My mom seemed to be entranced and stared at him in awe.
After explaining the police, he began to go over the extent of my injuries.
A piece of shrapnel that flew through the air stabbed into me dangerously close to my spinal cord. It slightly nicked it though, and the doctor recommended a week of bed rest and two weeks of rehab. I also had a lot of cuts and scrapes on my face, along with a sprained wrist and bruised rib.
After he finished explaining, he have me more pain meds and left the room with a smirk at my mom. She blushed and looked away. I rolled my eyes and turned to my mom when the doctor left.
I opened my mouth to ask her something when...
