"Were not your real parents." I froze at the statement, ringing in my ears. I never left my moms eyes, giving her a blank facial expression.
"W-what." I stuttered. My mom began to sniffle, same with my dad but he wasn't crying at all. I can't believe this, the two people that I spent my whole life with is not my real owners.
"I'm so sorry Charmine." My dad spoke. I stood up from the couch and began to pace back and forth in the living room. I ruffled my long brown hair and breathed in.
"Then where are they?" I croaked with but of anger in my voice. I felt heart broken, my palms began to get sweaty and I could feel my eyes go watery.
"We don't know." My mom whispered. I walked over to the counter and grabbed the tissue box. I passed it over to mom earning a small thank you.
"Then how did I end up with you." I quietly asked, trying hold in the guilt and distress in my voice. Tears began to form in the rims of my eyes and I could already feel that my eye are going to be stained red. My mom stood up and grabbed my hand, she pulled me back to the couch as she guided me to her lab, straddling me and bringing my head onto her shoulders. She began to wipe any tears coming out my eyes and caressed the side of my head, letting my hair stick onto my face.
"Well, you came into our lives when your mother and I first celebrated our first thankgiving together." My dad started off.
Madison~ (Mother's POV)
"Oh how loving. Thank you Ms. Brendan." I took the roast turkey off her hands as walked over to the living room while Denis Welcomes Ms. Brendan to our new home. Its already been 5 months since our wedding and I am proud of it. I placed the turkey in the middle of the table and removed the wrapper which helps it keep itself fresh and tasty.
"Madison Oh how it is wonderful to see you." I heard someone greeted me. I turned around finding Aunt Molly.
"Aunt Molly, its great to see you too. How are you?" I asked after I gave her a warm coming hug. She patted my back before she could answer.
"Every things great. I can see you are already preparing for the upcoming birth." She said. I blushed a bit. She can't be serious.
"Oh, not now. Haven't been preparing that yet with Denis. I want to wait till new years, you know still wanting to feel like a teenager still." I giggled. I'm not ready to have a child yet or sooner or later. i still want to enjoy my free life. Once you have a child, you can never take it back.
"Ok but sooner or later, I'm expecting a Niece or Nephew from the you two." She said sarcastically. I laughed as she walked back to her friends who were playing bingo over at the couch. I went over to the kitchen and waited for the gravy to come into a boil. I turned the knob onto low heat and took the mixing spoon out from the drawer and mixed the sauce carefully. As I was stirring the gravy, I felt a pair of hands on my waist.
"Honey, you need any help with that?" I heard a raspy low voice behind me. I can feel his cold hands get in contact with my warm skin. I giggled. I turned around finding Denis.
"How about you stir the gravy while I go introduce myself to the other guests." I smiled. I removed myself off him and brushed past him until I was pulled back by the waist by Denis.
"Your not going anywhere without a kiss." He begged. I shook my head like a kid but he still wouldn't budge.
"Please just one." He begged again. I sighed out as I joined my lips with his. His lips were always soft with a hint of sweetness in them. Everyday, he would always find a way to get into my chocolate box. As we were about to pull away from the kiss, I heard a soft knock on the patio door. I pulled away starring at the door.
"Denis I think someone is knocking on the back door." I said, never leaving my eyes on it. He gave me a confused look and then back at the door.
"Nobody would go through the back door Madison. I told everybody to come through the front door." He reminded me. I gave him a small smile and removed myself from his grip. As I was about to life the pot out of the heat, I heard another soft knock on the door.
"Denis!" I shouted back. He didn't answer, I decided I should go check it out myself. I walked over to the back door and checked out the window. As I lifted the curtain, I saw the bushes moving as if something went through it.
"Denis!" I shouted again. As Denis ran back into the kitchen, he was followed by Aunt Molly.
"What is it Madison?." I heard Denis asked, worried. He breathing was going rapidly as I pointed outside the window. Aunt Molly looked a bit concerned but not worried, nor afraid. She looked like she knew what was about to happen.
"Somebody is outside." I mumbled in fear. He nodded his head as he came torwards me. Aunt Molly just stood there watching. As Denis held the doorknob, I heard crying from the other side of the door. He opened the back door revealing....
"We found you in a wooden basket outside on the patio stairs. You were crying while holding a white card in your hand." My dad explained. I haven't even notice that my mom was crying during the process.
"What did the card say?" I asked concerned.
"It said Celestine Rose Cervantes. You were a new born when you were given to us." He whispered softly. Celestine Rose? That's not me. My name is Charmine, short of Charmaine.
"That's not me, my name is not Celestine." I mentioned. Straighten my back so it wasn't arched and crossed my legs.
"It is Charmine. When you were little, your Aunt Molly came up with the name Charmine. She told me when I have a daughter, I would name her Charmaine." My mom said. I stared at the ground. Im not giving up this trick, although this wouldn't be a trick when my mother is crying and my father was looks stressed.
"This can't be real can it." I spoke. She shook her head. All these years, I have been living with the two people that I have trusted all my life. I never thought they would keep secrets from me. Families don't keep secrets.
"I'm sorry Charmine." I got up from the sofa and walked over to the staircase.
"I just need some time to think. Goodnight. "I said in no expression. I ran up the stairs and locked my door. I ran to my bed and flopped down on it. My head is hurting right now and I feel so sweaty. I don't know what to expect anymore. Where are my parents? Who are they? Are they still alive?
But most importantly, why did they leave me?
I need to find her, I need to find him. How could I let this out of hand. As I ran through the woods, I could hear my heart beat loudly. Why didn't I pack some food. The others must be worried about me but I'll be back, I alway do. I could smell the sweet scent of her, her blood. It smells so near yet so far. As I went over to my thinking area, I heard something crack. I turned around, opening my hearing senses.
"Who's there?" I yelled out. No answer. I walked forward to the tree that had made the noise.
"I said who's there!" I yelled again. The darkness was surrounding us yet surrounding the forest for now. I walked closer and closer to the tree until I found a pair of yellow eyes.
"Well well well. Harry. I haven't seen you in years." I heard a familiar voice. He came out of the shadow of the tree revealing himself.
"Ed?" I said softly. I can't believe it is him, my childhood best friend. He wasn't human anymore nor a vampire.
"Yes it's me. I can see your still a human, yet I have changed." he muttered softly. He began to walk closer to me but I backpedaled back slowly.
"I'm not human anymore Ed, I'm a vampire now. But I can see you have transformed into a wolf." I said. He chuckled. I watched him go from a wolf into a human form, my eyes never left him.
"Are you sure of that." He chuckled madly. I smirked, I can tell that he has changed completely. As I was about to respond, I heard other crack as if a twig had snapped. I turned my head revealing two other humans who I think is one of Ed's mates.
"Hey Ed. Is this your friend?" The one in the left asked. He had black hair and a fair skin tone. He wore a black tank top and some denim jeans.
"No he isn't. Remember the code, no wolves are friends with the enemy." He said in a musky tone. I can't believe this.
"Then what are you waiting for." The other one in the right said. He was a dirty blond and wore a dark blue shirt along with some grey sweats. They all walked up to me but I stood my ground. I smirked at them.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you. Remember the code, Vampires are always stronger then Wolves." I reminded them.
"Not unless your against one and you have a whole pack." Ed said. I clenched my fist and felt my veins pop slightly.
"Then let the games begin." I challenged him. They all turned into there real transformation as wolves and well I made myself useful. We began to run into each other. I showed off my fangs as I threw a punch at one of them. I deserved a scratch from Ed and a bite on my collar from another. With one single hit, I grabbed one of them ad threw then hard at the tree. I watched it fall unconscious.
I found Ed look at me with his yellow bright eyes, he had a mad smile on his face which made me yearn for more. I ran up to him but one of his mates blocked him. I showed off my fangs to him and ripped his head off. Ed watched fearfully as his friend stumbles weakly. I chuckled as I wiped the blood dripping from my lips.
"I told you Ed. I have the ability to fight. I'm the strongest in my group. I never lose to a battle." I said as I emphasize the never. I kicked the head of his friend to him, I watched as the oozing blood came out of it.
"You will pay for what you have done Edward." he cried out as he ran into the darkness. I panted as I continued to walk. I felt stronger then ever, how could my only friend betray me. I couldn't have killed him by the second. But right now is not the time. I have something more important to do. To save the Princess of Summer. Lillia Marisol
