It's been a year. A year since One Direction ended. Our merchandise stores have closed. Chance has been gone for a year too. Mum and her fiancé Robin, yep they're getting married but they don't seem to care that Chance may never be coming back. Everyday I cry knowing that Chance is gone. I can't work up the courage to visit her. Until today.
I sighed as we drove up to the building. Liam and Niall decided to tag along. We walked up to the building. I felt my heart race. I looked at my hands. I was shaking gently. Calm down Harry. It's just your own sister. Nothing to fear. A nearby guard directed us to a room. He opened the door and sat us at a table.
I sat down between the two boys. "Am I the only one who's nervous?" Niall whispers, looking around. "You know, with a name A Helping Hand you'd think they'd be nicer than this. I mean hand cuffs? Uniforms?" Liam shakes his head. Was Chance in uniform. Or worse, handcuffs. The people around us looked like they belonged here, the last time I saw Chance she didn't belong here. I don't know what she looked like now.
The door creaked open and I looked up to find a girl. A girl I didn't recognize. She looked like she hasn't gotten any sleep. Her arms were bruised and a purple-bluish bruise was on her jaw. Her brown hair knotted, she had a smirk on her face as the guard shoved her in the chair, walking away.
"Well, well. Look what the cat dragged in." She croaked. "What are you guys doing here?" We all sat quietly. I still couldn't believe this was my little sister. "How'd you get the bruise?" Liam asks. "I got in a fight." She replied. I chuckled. "You were always a fighter." She smiled and she looked like her old self. Kinda. "Who'd you fight?" Niall questions further. She leans close but not to close. She turned her face. "You see that guard against the far left wall. The one with the blue eyes, black hair?" She whispers. We nod.
"It was him." She leans back. "No way! He's more than twice your size!" I object. "Giving her an upper hand Harry. The smaller the faster they move." Liam smirks. "You gave him that black eye?" Niall says, shocked. She nods proudly, "you can't see it. But his knee was dislocated. His nose was broken." We gasped.
"Where'd you learn to fight?" Liam asks. "Don't worry bout that." She smiled. "But it doesn't really help ya know." She says. "What do you mean?" I ask confused. "I'm not getting out here anytime soon. They think I'm crazier than when I came in. They think I'm a threat to all the other patients cause of what I did to that guard." I scoffed. "Why'd you even fight him?" Niall asks.
She stays silent, chewing on her lip. "HEY CHANTELLE! HANDS WHERE WE CAN SEE EM!" The same guard with the black eye screamed. She didn't even flinch. All she did was smirk. "Baby girl, do what the guy says." Liam says his voice barely a whisper. She just smirks. She lifts her hands up from underneath the table and above her head. Niall chuckled. I jabbed him in the side with my elbow. He whined but stopped as he started walking over.
The people around didn't seen to care. When he walked over I saw it. In his belt buckles. A whip, a taser, and a gun. I gulped as he walked over here. "Is there a problem here?" She smiled. "You said put my hands where you can see them." She explains. She sticks her cuffed hands in his face. "Can you see em!" She shouts and with a swift movement he slaps her and just as quick Niall jumps up. "STOP!" He screamed. He turned to us.
