"i don't remember much, but i think i wandered off with a girl and we explored the streets together..."
I sighed as I read the text again. Why had Noah ditched me so easily?
"I mean nothing to him..."
Aww, sweetie... At least you got to meet One Direction!
My sad mood disappeared. I smiled. "You're right. This is the best thing that's ever happened to me!"
I know. I'm happy for you.
"So, you're my conscience, I'm assuming?"
Yeah. I'm the nice version though. The mean is still asleep.
"That's cool I guess."
"Electra! Get downstairs, you're on TV!" Collin yelled from somewhere below me. I raised an eyebrow, and climbed off my bed. I walked downstairs and into the living room.
My parents and brother were sat on the couch, staring at the news. I looked at it as well.
"They just showed you enter a hotel with Niall Horan." Collin said, looking towards me. He had his eyebrows raised. I ignored him and sat on the arm of the couch.
Pictures of Harry, Liam and Niall were on screen, and they were talking about how the left and came back with Harry this morning.
"Approximately 10 minutes later, Niall and the girl whose name claims to be Electra Andrews, exited the hotel together; holding hands." The news reporter informed.
"What? No! He grabbed my hand after!" I complained. My dad blinked, and I could tell he was fuming inside. My mom looked at me and then back to the TV.
"Horan began talking to Electra, who was seated in the taxi cab, but the driver drove away; leaving the boy angry. He then stormed back inside the hotel." The news reporter finished.
"Next up, we have pictures of the young couple, and Niall's band mate, Harry; at a party last night with a girl. Stay tuned." Pictures of me and Niall sitting together in a circle with red plastic cups showed up, as well with Lindsay and Harry.
My dad turned the TV off, and an awkward silence fell over us. I felt my dad's eyes on me, as I played with a lose string on my sweater. ...Niall's sweater, actually.
"Electra Laura-Anne Andrews," He started off sternly. I winced. It was never good when he said my full name. "What did you do last night? You told me and your mother you were going to Lindsay's house."
"I er.. went to the library..?" I gave a hopeful smile. My father stood up, slamming his feet on the ground. He gave me a glare and I gulped.
Ooh, probably shouldn't have said that, darling.
Ehh.. yeah, you're right.
"Don't lie to me, Electra! You snuck off to a party with some famous boy you don't even know, and returned to his hotel? And when me and your mother were out on a date?" He yelled angrily.
"No, I went with Noah!" I said. My brother looked amused, and my mom looked back and forth from me and my dad.
"Who in the hell is Noah?" He shouted.
"Joe! Language!" My mom cut in.
"Be quiet Hannah, I'm dealing with this!" My dad argued with her. She frowned, and looked to me.
"Noah is my friend, daddy. I don't even know how I ended up with Niall! All I know is that Lindsay and Harry were already together before the party, so Harry must've brought Niall." I explained.
"I bet your stupid boy band is actually creepers, looking for little girls to bring home," My dad muttered. My mom was about to say something but I cut her off.
"I am the same age as them, dad. They aren't creepers! Are you losing it?" I said as calmly as possible, sending him a death glare. No one insults my Idols. No one. He doesn't have the right to call them creepers. He doesn't know them.
But neither do you, sweetheart.
I know them well enough to know they are most defiantly not pedophiles!
My dad fumed. "I am not losing it. The only thing that's been lost in this house is your virginity." He spat out angrily, and then stormed past me.
I froze, and stared at the spot where he was before he left.
"Joe!" My mother yelled, and followed him upstairs. She yelled at him, but it became distant as they walked down all the halls in the huge house.
Even my brother was speechless, as he stood up.
"Owch, sis. That must've hurt..." He said, walking up to me. I looked up at him.
"I didn't have sex with Niall, Collin." I mumbled, looking back down gloomily.
"Hey, hey, I didn't say you did. And I believe you. Dad is just a freak when it comes to boys, alright?" Collin tried to assure me. I looked at him again, and smiled slightly.
"I appreciate you trying to make me feel better, Collin, but for now; nothing's going to help." I said. I stood up and walked out the front door. Collin didn't bother stopping me.
I walked the streets of my neighborhood, staring at the ground. I was still extremely confused on the whole Niall and Noah thing. I grunted, and took out my cell phone, dialling a phone number.
"El? You sound upset, who's ass do I have to kick?"
I smiled despite the sulky feeling I had going on. "No one's for now. Meet me at the coffee shop?"
"Be there in 5." She answered, and we both hung up. There was a place a few blocks from both of our houses where we'd go all the time for hot chocolate. We would sit there for hours and just talk.
I arrived within 2 minutes and stopped outside the shop, gazing into the window. I noticed I still had Niall's clothes on. My heart sped up; just thinking about how all the boys hugged me this morning. Me, out of everyone! I walked into the shop.
There were some girls at a table in short skirts and tops that went down very low. They were chatting happily and squealing occasionally as I stood in line.
It was my turn to order, and I walked up to the cashier person. I scanned the menu above our heads.
"Can I have a..." I looked down, and blinked. "David?"
David smiled. "Sure babe, you can get me anytime." He winked at me. I chuckled.
"Oh please, you're my brother's best friend," I said, rolling my eyes with a smile. He grinned.
"And aren't you with that guy from One Direction?" He asked. I groaned, and put my head in my hands.
"Please don't remind me." I moaned out. David sighed.
"Sorry. But seriously, one day you're with popular Carter from a high school, and the next a worldwide popular guy?"
"I'm not dating him!" I complained. "And I didn't know you worked here." I said, trying to change topics. He didn't seem to catch it.
David shrugged, leaning over the counter. "I'm trying to save up for a car so your brother doesn't have to always pick me up."
"Well I don't see as it's a problem anymore. We'd only be picking you up, and not Carter," I said. David smiled and nodded.
"So, what can I get for you?" He asked. I smiled.
"Large hot chocolate please, made with milk and cream; add whipped cream and caramel on top." I ordered, popping the p at the end.
"That will be 4.95$ Ma'am!" He declared dramatically, causing the girls to look over at us. They gave me dirty looks. Haha, I'm talking to a handsome boy and you aren't!
Now now don't rub it in.
I handed the money to David and waited a few minutes. He came back with my hot chocolate. I took it, and leaned over to give him a kiss on the cheek.
"Thanks David. Text me sometime?" I smiled. He chuckled.
"Sure El. Have a nice day." He said. I nodded, and then took out an extra 10 dollars from my pocket. I casually tossed it on the counter. "Woops," I then walked to a table, hearing David's laugh.
I sat down, and began sipping slowly on my drink. My phone beeped, and I had a new text message.
"sorry el. Gonna be a bit late. mom needs to talk to me about Harry.. lmao, wish me luck! Xx"
I chuckled at the message from Lindsay, and put my phone away.
Suddenly, some people sat down in front of me, in the same booth. I looked up, realizing it was the girls from the other table. I stared at one in particular, and raised an eyebrow.
"Clare?" The blonde girl sat in front of me, with a girl on each of her side. "Where are Emma and Emily?" Aka, the twins.
Clare rolled her eyes. "Emily and Emma are just my friends at school. Outside of school, I hang out with Jennifer and Yvonne." She explained.
"Right," I didn't bother asking which Jennifer was and which Yvonne was. "Why are you sitting with me again?"
"Well, I was thinking." Clare started saying.
"Oh, this can't be good," I mumbled, leaning back in the chair.
She glared at me, and then smiled brightly. "I think you're super pretty, cool and popular! We should be friends!" Clare exclaimed in a cheerful voice.
"Why?" I asked, annoyed. She sighed.
"Well, you know I'm a huge One Direction fan..." Aye. This can't be good.. "And maybe you could take me to go meet them since, well; you are Niall's girlfriend and my friend."
I frowned. "Clare, we aren't friends. And I and Niall aren't dating! Besides, you have Carter," I glared at her. She scowled, and stood up.
"Fine. I gave you one chance, and you should've taken it Andrews." She glared back at me.
"Yeah, yeah," I shooed her away, taking a sip of my hot chocolate. Clare rolled her eyes, and they all left the shop.
I sat for another 10 minutes, staring outside the window, and waiting for Lindsay. I sighed, and stood up. I left the shop, and began walking back home.
I once again, passed a group of girls. I automatically thought it was Clare, Jenni.. Whatever they're names were. But, it wasn't. They all had their phones out, doing something on them.
I couldn't help but feel awkward as they all went quiet and stared at me as I walked past them. Seriously, what now?
"What does Niall see in you? Really, you have no curves at all. You're just a stick."
I froze, and stopped walking when I heard that. I heard all the other girls snicker. I turned slowly. Right away I knew which girl said it, from the smirk on her face.
"Excuse me...?" I asked slowly, furrowing my eyebrows. Why are people so rude?
"I said that maybe you should put on a few pounds." She repeated. I raised an eyebrow, and tilted my head slightly to look at her. She had short shorts on, and a TNA sweater that was extremely tight. Her dark brown hair was in a bun (It was so high, it was almost on top of her head) which seemed to be a style now and days.
"Maybe you should stop being so rude." I stated. She laughed and so did the others.
"I mean really, look in the mirror for once. You're a twig. How is it that someone could like you?" She continued on.
That was it. I began fuming, but smiled brightly.
"Yeah? How about you go pick on someone your own size? I think I saw a bus back there." I pointed into the direction I came from. Her friends grew silent, as the girl glared at me.
"I can lose weight," She scowled. "Too bad you can't lose ugly."
I pretended to look confused. "Is there a mirror behind me or something?" I asked, turning my head to look.
She paused, and then laughed loudly, saying "Wow, you really are an idiot,"
"And you're a bitch, what's your point? Oh wait, you probably don't have one." I pouted, sticking my lips out sadly. "Have a nice day girls!" I smiled, then turned, and walked away. The smile immediately disappeared, as I took a careful glance down at my body.
