Great Big Poetic Thank You!

Using the idea I stole from Writerman (go fan him if you like poetry. He's really good), I am creating a giant compilation of poetry- each one dedicated to a different fan of mine. I will add to it as quickly as I can, so stay tuned! I promise I will not quit until I have every fan a meaningful poem. And once again- thank you all for being awesome fans!

My best friend in the entire world

Where do I even begin with you?

You were always there for me

If I needed a shoulder to cry on

Or a helpful ear to listen

And sympathize

You never tried to solve my problems

Only help me with whatever I needed

I remember you were the only one that showed up

For my birthday, that one time

When it was a disaster, you were there

And you saved the day by turning it into a day

Where we could hang out carefree

Ah, those were the days

I remember once we took a road trip together-

Me, my parents, you, and our brothers

I miss that, because we were so close

I loved that time we spent together

And as time went by, we fought and cried

We were friends, the best kind

I even sent you letters you never returned

Ah, you are a really great guy

You'd always treat me like something special

-Front seats, special dinners with your family, jewelry

I still have the flamingo you gave me

And it isn't until now that I realize

I didn't treat you like you deserved

You were amazing, the best kind of friend

I wasn't even able to be kind to you

I was the worst kind of friend

Could you forgive me? I know I wouldn't

Because I was a crappy friend

Yet you stuck it out

But even as amazing as you were

I wasn't able to be there for you

As you were for me

When you were in need of comfort

Losing a beloved

I was distant, long gone, a fading memory

I still have the gift I made for you for Christmas this year

I know this makes no difference, but I just wanted you to know

How much I miss being friends
