2. Tutoring

Something weird happened that day at school.

The only class that I really excel in is English, I love to read and write. I' the best in my class. I had English during 4th period and my teacher asked me to stay after class. I slung my bag over my shoulder when the bell rang and walked over to his desk.

"Yes, Mr. Walters." I said nervously.

"You have incredible writing skills."  he started off. I have a grade 11 in one of my classes who has a problem with his writing, especially creative writing. I was hoping you could help him out." Mr Walters informed me.

"You mean like tutor him?" I asked.

"Perfect!" That's when a figure appeared in the doorway. A tall boy was standing there, he had one elbow propping him up against the door frame and his other hand was running through his thick, dark hair. When he let go, his hair fell back into place, it was messy and just covered his forehead. "Ah, Michael." Mr Walters acknowledged the boy.

"Is this the girl?" Michael asked. When the English teacher nodded, Michael started to make his way towards us. He stopped just beside me and bent so that his mouth was level with my ear. I felt his breath stir the hair on the side of my head. "I pictured a super smart tutor to be more smart, not pretty like you." he whispered so that I only I could hear him. His words sent shivers up my spine and I didn't know why.

Is this the guy I'm going to tutor?

"Why don't you guys get to know each other and maybe work on some stuff, I'll lock the door and you can use my classroom, just remember to shut the lights off." And with that Mr. Walters was gone, leaving me alone with Michael.

I sat at the closest desk, and he sat beside me. We were sitting so close together that when either of us shifted, our legs would brush each other.

"You look familiar" I said, squinting up at him, but i brushed off the thought when I saw that he looked a little creeped out and he shrugged.

We worked for around an hour, joking about class, working on his writing skills, and just having fun. Afterwards he walked with me to the bus stop and even waited until I got on the bus before he left.
