Michael pulled open the fridge and grabbed a water bottle from the door. I slid out of my chair and hopped onto the counter beside the fridge, just like I always do.
"I didn't know you were in my brother's band!" I exclaimed. "How come you never told me you were even in a band?"
"I didn't know you were Jake's little sister!" He exclaimed back, moving in front of me. If he had taken a step closer he would be completely between my legs and his face would be only inches away from mine. "How come you didn't tell me that?"
Stuck in the argument I just sat there, with my arms crossed against my chest, and continued looking into his eyes, frustrated.
"I think I got you there." Michael laughed, coming slightly closer to me. We stayed there for a moment, looking into each other eyes.
I felt myself lean toward him, instinctively, but stopped. Before I could process another thought his lips were on mine. His lips were warm and soft. The kiss was only a few moments, but it was sweet and I felt my chest tighten and my stomach leap. When I got over the initial shock and closed my eyes, I saw fireworks and I never wanted it to end.
