I'm off the boat before I know it, the icy water splashing against my frozen skin. The current pulls me down, under the water. I have just enough time to suck in a mouthful of air before sinking. I can't fight the current, my joints are frozen. I flail around, only finding myself deeper.
Arms wrap around me right before my eyes close. I know it's not Queenie, because this body feels shorter. It's Tori.
No, I don't need her to save me. I've spent my entire life saving people, I don't need anyone to save me, especially her.
I start squirming, doing anything in my power to make her arms let go of me, but it's useless. She picks me up easily due to my size, and I get hauled over her shoulder even easier. I start screaming, my bones coming to a halt when Queenie's hand reaches Tori's, and I'm being pulled up.
My body is relieved of the weight of the water. Tori pulls me over the rail, and then herself.
"What did you do that for?!" I scream at her. I don't want to sound mean, but I do. I want to sound for once in my life like someone who's opinion matters.
"I just SAVED you! You should me thanking me!" Tori spits back, ringing out her hair. I turn to yell at Queenie, or just scream at the top of my lungs to relieve myself of the freezing feeling that's tickling my nerves, but before I can do anything her palm wipes past my cheek with so much force I have to step back.
"Kennedy." She says quietly, trying to calm me.
"You...you SLAPPED me!" I scream. She sneers.
"Get over it. Now." She scowls and places a soft touch on my shivering back, leading me to the cabin. As we walk in I dislodge my knife from the wall.
She slams the door right after I pass it.
"What the h*** are you doing here, Kennedy?" She spats. I regain my posture, standing on my toes to match her face. I fail and end up only reaching the top of her stomach. It's improvement from how tall I usually am compare to her. My neck usually touches her hip.
"I'm not as stupid as you think, I can hear movement. And I thought it was about time to get outside, so I followed you. You think you're so good at hiding, well think again, cause I could've given you a week and I'd still track you. Ever notice how I always know where you are? Last time I got dragged into killing about fifty people. Look how that turned out!" I say it with lots of air in my voice, like it's hollow. Queenie doesn't address the questions. I climb on the desk in the middle of the room.
"Get off the desk, Kennedy." She says quietly. I keep a smirk plastered on my face. I'm not a little girl she can push around. But one thing surprises me, she's never used my real name before, even though she knows that 'Kenny' gets on my nerves.
"Why did you just use my real name?"
"I don't know, Kennedy hush." She starts pacing.
