Zoe isn't down to help, so I make it myself. I have to line up place cards with the other's names on it just to keep track. I have all or their recipes memorized.
After making a million different sandwiches I grab some snacks from the pantry and line up all of their desired kinds of chips. Plating the meals, I call for lunch. Queenie is here first. She takes a look at me, then at the broken stove (during training I kind of got rammed into the stove, which of course dented). She laughs loudly and continues to the table. It's got to be the largest I've seen, holding over twelve people. Zoe comes in next, and eyes the plates.
"You didn't have to do that you know. I could've helped." She says, obviously only meaning it halfway. She's tired of making meals by herself.
"I'm fine." I whisper and start to get juice boxes out of the fridge. Des rushes in and helps me carry them to the table. A lot easier to buy ten boxes of juice pouches then pour a pitcher in over ten cups. Plus, with all of it, it would take a lot more than a pitcher just for one sitting. I don't bother getting one for Tom, he usually gets Rum.
The rest of the crew files in. All except Brynna and Annabeth. They went somewhere. Probably Hogwarts, Annabeth was so excited she couldn't wait. I don't know whether or not she's going to do what everyone else does, go to CHB or Hogwarts or whatever only during the day then come home as if it's a normal school.
"Hey, kiddo." Aunt Rogue comes in, surprised I got everything right. I always mess something up, no matter what I do.
