Perfect, no really it is. Who wouldn’t want their ridiculously embarrassing mother to meet the hottest boy in school? Oh yeah I know – me. But I don’t have time to worry about that I’m meeting up with Tris soon and I need to work out what to tell her. I kind of ditched her yesterday after sitting in detention with Dan. Oh and that’s the other thing I should really tell her about…Dan.
I’m sitting at a table next to the window so of course Tris sees me straight away. ‘Well hello there little miss trouble!’ She says as she enters the café. Man, she’s annoying. I smiled at her and she sat down on the chair opposite me. ‘so tell me about Dan.’ Uhhh…’How do you know about tha-him?’
‘I have my ways…’ She sees me looking at her with my really look and know that’s not gonna fool me. ‘how do you not know? The whole school’s been talking about it. I mean no-offence but your not the type to normally go out with the hot ones?’ I am a little hurt but I let her get away with it this time with a little kick of her shin under the table. ‘ow!’
‘You deserve it – WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME EARLIER? This is so embarrassing…’ ‘How?’
‘Cause everyone’s talking about me. You know I hate that sort of attention.’
‘Well I personally would love it! Everyone talking about if my relationship would last, where I’m going for my next date. It would be like being a celebrity!’ Of course this sort of life would be perfect for Tris. Ever since primary school she’s wanted to be a famous actor or singer. She even went thought the dancer stage but she decided to leave that to me. That’s the one and pretty much only thing I’m known for… dancing. But I don’t want to take it up as a career. Being a dancer is a lot of tuff work and it’s not normally long lasting either unless you teach it. It’s not that I don’t enjoy it. I love it really, even if I am the centre of attention. It doesn’t matter where I am; when I’m dancing I can just let myself go… ‘Well I’m not a celebrity. I’m a normal teenage girl trying to have a normal relationship with a normal teenage boy!’
‘I know, I know… shall we change the subject? How’s your parents and Taylor..oh and the snails?’ My older brother Taylor is obsessed with science, nature and weird animals. 2 years ago he bought some giant African snails but then he went to university and he’s new house mate thought they were stupid so he left them here. Which means Tabby has 4 new toys to play with oh and their thousands of babies!
'Their fine, but. Oh Tris what am I gonna do?'
