Kakashi's face fell slightly as he relived the memories.
:FlashBack (Shortly after Sasuke left):
Team Kakashi sat on the stools of Ichiraku eating ramen. Sakura sat between Naruto and Kakashi. She listened to Naruto talk about his day.
"I kicked Sai's ass with this new jutsu Kakashi-sensei taught me! I was like..." Sakura tuned out his voice as he started to blabber about the way he beat Sai-san. Her ears perked up when she heard that Kakashi taught Naruto a new jutsu. Sakura turned to her teacher who was giggling like a little girl at the book. She glanced at the cover, 'Come Come Paradise. Of course.' She thought rolling her eyes. She swear her teacher could be so childish sometimes.
"Kaka-sensei?" She asked, trying to het his attention.
"Hm?" he replied showing his attention. Though eyes not once leaving the page.
"Could you teach me a new jutsu please Kaka-sensei?"
She heard him sigh as he closed the orange book putting it into his pouch. Kakashi looked down at her. She stared at him with emerald eyes shining brightly like the sun, filled with hope. He noticed her puckering her lips a little at him trying to add more to her puppy eye affect. Sighing once again, he told her,
"Sorry Sakura, but I'm very busy today. Maybe next time?"
"But you taught Naruto one! And I bet Sai-san too but why not me!" she cried in confusion.
"Kakashi-sensei?" A voice interrupted.
A figure with blonde hair walked in.
"Ino-pig, what are you doing here?" Sakura asked her rival.
"None of your business Forehead-girl. Just borrowing your sensei for a while."
"Sure Ino-san. What do you need?" Kakashi asked as his lone eye leaving green to cerulean eyes.
"Asuma-sensei asked me to find you to help me on a new jutsu. Asuma-sensei said you'd be best suited to help me since he's on a mission and all."
Kakashi hesitated in answering however he knew that he should help his friend's student. He quickly looked over to Sakura before back at Ino.
"Sure Ino-san. Meet me at the bridge." He replied swiftly.
Ino nodded as Sakura stared at him stunned at what just happened. 'Why would you train Ino-pig and not me, your own student?' she thought sadly eyes downcast. Kakashi of course had noticed this and placed a gloved hand on top of her head. With a grin, he ruffled her hair in attempt to cheer her up before leaving with a poof. Sakura flattened her hair and crossed her arms over her chest with a huff. He knew how much she hated him doing that. She sighed leaving not noticing Yamato's piercing gaze.
The same repeated over the next few days. It was always excuses to her, "Sorry Sakura, I have a mission." "Sorry Sakura, I have to go to the Hokage." "Sorry Sakura, I promised to help Naruto with his chakra control. Maybe next time." The last one always broke her for her teacher would rather help her teammates than her. She would always smile hiding the pain and afterwards, Yamato would always comfort her and train with her instead.
Kakashi frowned, knowing it was true. He did neglect his student more than he wanted to. Knowing being paired up with Sakura would annoy and possible anger her he sighed,
"Ok. I guess I'll share a room with Sai, and Naruto and Sasuke would share another. Here're the keys." Kakashi handed them the keys and all walked to their rooms. Yamato looked at their backs before knocking on his and Sakura's door. He heard a small 'Come in'. He did. Closing the door he walked towards the bed closest to him; the one by the door. Placing his travel bag by the edge of the bed, he laid down onto the soft mattress. He closed his eyes ad fell into a light sleep.
Yamato was soon woken up by small sobs coming from the other side of the room. Getting up, he saw Sakura sat in the corner, knees pulled up to her chest and arms wrapped around it. Yamato was so surprised by this that he stood there just staring at her while she cried. Minutes later, he was snapped out of his shock when Sakura started to get up, wiping away her tears away.
"Sakura whats wrong?" He asked concerned.
Sakura said, voice a bit wobbly, "Nothing. And please don't use my real name whe-"
"Sakura," Yamato said sternly looking into her eyes. " Please don't use that shit with me. I know this is hard for you. Having your teammates back and all, but you have to at least give them a second chance."
"No," Sakura whispered. "No." she said louder this time, pain and anger traceable in her voice. "I won't give them a second chance. They don't fucking deserve one. Not after what they done to me. Not after the pain they put me through."
She got up her face stoic once more, and left the room. Yamato, eyes still fixed on the place Sakura was, sighed. Getting up he fell asleep onto his bed leaving Sakura to calm down.
