12. Steven

We dug through the lab to find any kind of weapons we could use. Then it hit me. Steven. Where was he? Would he kill his dad?

"Steven" I mumbled as I stopped what I was doing.

"Meg?" Josh asked, "um what are you talking about?"

"Where's Steven?" I asked.

Marcus and Josh looked at eachother.

"You think Steven did this?" He asked angrily in a quivering voice and pointing at our dead uncle, "STEVEN WOULD NEVER DO THIS!"

"WELL IM SORRY!!!" I yelled throwing my hands up, "but I just met this guy yesterday. And if you haven't notice we have no idea where he is or was last night!!!"

Josh was about to yell back but his face went blank. He shook his head.

"Steven wouldn't do this" he mumbled.

"Well let's go find out ok?" I said as I picked up a gun. I cocked the bullet in place. As I started walking towards the door, I felt Josh's gentle hand on my shoulder. I turned to face him.

"Sorry I yelled at you.... I'm just... Scared" he admitted looking at the ground.

I hugged my brother tight. Afraid to let go.

"It's ok" I responded. We just need to stick together ok?"

He nodded. We headed out the door. Time to find Steven.
