4. The party in the woods
I heard Liam talking to Perrie about a party, as Jeff had and they'd go there. I couldn't stop listening to them and when they were talking about a car that was coming to get them.
"Excuse me!" I got right out of me and slid in front of them. "Can I go with you there?"
Liam laughed at first but then he looked serious at me.
"Are you going to such a party? You?"
I nodded immediately and gave him a serious expression. I had decided I wanted to go there. I wanted to see what happened there and how Sandra was.
"Please!" I got out of me. "I can pay you?"
Perrie became directly interested and looked at me.
I knew I had the money at home, but not how much.
"Give me a sum."
Liam didn't seem to like the idea.
"Niall, you don't have fun on such a party and we will not be home until Sunday?"
I was sure.
"I want to!"
Perrie nodded with satisfaction and looked specifically at Liam.
"He's paying and who cares? He must fend for himself once we get there?"
Liam frowned and looked at me closely.
"There will be alcohol."
I didn't care.
"I want to come along."
He sighed and seemed to understand that I wouldn't give up so easily.
I felt the whole I was happy and I knew I would be part of a party. Perrie sighed lightly and looked down at me.
"You better not dress like a wimp."
Liam laughed a little bit and agreed with her.
"You can borrow a jacket from me and just make sure you don't have wimpy shirts on."
I nodded and I felt my eyes shine.
Harry dragged me to the toilet and he locked the door immediately.
"YOU are crazy!"
I smiled and shook my head. I was happy and I wanted to go with the guys to the party.
"You can't convince me to stay home."
Harry sighed and turned with the whole body that he was against the whole thing.
"Please Niall. She will not see you, even if you go on all parties that Jeff has."
I didn't give up.
"I'll go and I'll sit in that car and come along. I want to go to that place and I don't care if she don't see me. I want to do this for myself..."
I understood that neither Liam or Perrie told something to Sandra. In a way, I was disappointed, but at the same time not. It was as if I was the mysterious knight, and I would save her from the evil Jeff. Somehow it sounded good in my head, but I realized that the reality wouldn't be as imaginative.
Right after school I went to a clothing store and I looked after tougher clothes. The girl in the store came up to me and smiled.
"Can I help you?"
"I want to look tough and wear clothes that maybe older guys are wearing."
She smiled and looked down at my body.
"You mean you want to look older?"
I didn't know what to say.
"I just want to looked more tough." I got out of me. "Kind of like if I really wasn't a wimp."
She laughed lightly.
"Okay, I'll help you."
On Friday I went with Jeff to the cottage. We prepared the evening and I made sure everything was where it should. Jeff was more interested in music and didn't seem to care that there would be plastic cups to drink from. He laughed at me and followed me with his eyes.
"You'll have balloons too?"
I shook my head and looked at him coldly.
"No, but it'll be a little more nice here?"
I put the order so that it became a dance floor and made sure that the patio had trash bags for garbage. I put the beer and the other on ice and fixed with chips and other snacks. On the front and the back, I put ashtrays for those who smoked. Then I began to be pleased. The first one that popped up was Eleanor and I hugged her.
"We're having so damn fun!" she said, and showed that she had brought booze. "I stole it from Dad!"
