But, on one fateful day, while roaming the streets of New York City, she meets a guy that will change the rest of her life forever. Good and bad. Nothing will ever be the same again for Sarah Bell.

People will fall in love, hearts will be broken and tears will be shed.

16. Chapter 16

The months that passed without the boys were very dull and beyond boring. I occasionally hung out with the girls but it was usually Jill and I most of the time. I didn't mind though; she was my best friend after all. On some days we would stay in and be lazy all day watching TV bad raiding the fridge while on others we would be adventurous and roam the streets of New York. Things could've been better.

But not one day passed when I didn't think of Zayn. Or Harry. Something was up with Harry and I planned to find out. He was acting so weird on the day the boys left to continue their tour. I'd have to question him when they got back. Strange boy.

"I'm so bored!" I groaned, sitting upside down on the couch.

"Same," moaned Jill who was in the same position as I right next to me. We had just arrived to my house from school and we were both bored and tired. We just wanted something, anything to do.

"Any suggestions before I die of boredom?" I asked before groaning louder this time. The blood was quickly rushing to my head so I slowly sat up on the couch. But Jill didn't move.

"You're not dead, are you?" I said and poked her stomach. Suddenly, she sat up so quickly that I jumped in my seat and my heart was beating out of my chest.

"I got it!" she yelled.

"Geez! You almost gave me a heart attack!" I gripped my heart and tried to steady my breath over dramatically.

"Sorry, but I just got an awesome idea. We should go to a club tonight! C'mon it'll be be fun! It sure beats sitting in here all day doing nothing." She sounded really excited and enthusiastic and it really was a good idea. I was totally in. It was about time we get out of the house and do something exciting.

"Sure!" I exclaimed excitedly and we both ran to my room. Since we were both going to a club we couldn't dress casually.

I decided on a pair of tight black leggings with a grey skull pattern on them with a matching blouse with skulls on it as well. I put on my grey Vans and then started on my makeup. I only put on some minor eyeliner and black lipstick before ruffling up my hair a bit and then I was ready to go. I didn't like to dress fancy unless it was necessary but this was just a club.

Jill, on the other hand, wore a short flashy blue dress that went mid thigh and sparkled brightly in the light and complimented her body very nicely. She also wore heels and straightened her hair a little bit more and wore a lot more makeup than me. Leave it to Jill to overdo it and surpass me in style and flash.

When we were finally done and ready, I locked the house up and we were off to the club. It wasn't very far so we were able to walk without calling a cab. They weren't needed.

"Are you ready to stay up all night?!" I yelled at Jill, pun intended, as we walked down the darkening street.

"And live while we're young!" she countered and we laughed at each other, earning strange glares from passerby's.

"Let's make some midnight memories!" I yelled into the night and Jill playfully pushed me to the side. We were both still laughing as we entered the extremely crowded and loud club. Lights were flashing everywhere and the music was blasting from every direction. It sorta reminded me of the New Year's party.

That memory brought a smirk to my face and I laughed to myself. It was definitely a night I wouldn't forget.

I maneuvered Jill through the crowd of sweaty and dancing bodies to the bar where I ordered six shots, three for each of us. We quickly chugged down our shots and I felt more free and happy. It really gave me an extra kick and made me feel energized and hyper.

Jill grabbed my hand and dragged me out to the dance floor where we danced the rest of the night away, surrounded by bodies. I just let the beat of the music and alcohol take control and I was soon consumed by it all. I moved my hips in rhythm with the music and ran my hands up and down my body, letting them do whatever. One was in my hair and the other on my hip, keeping up with my body movements.

I wasn't keeping track of time but it was probably around 1 a.m. when we finally decided to leave. We were just a bit tipsy but able to walk home by ourselves.

We had just stepped out of the club and into the fresh cold night air when Jill stopped me right in my tracks.

"Shit! I think I forgot my phone in the bar. Wait right out here, I'll be right back," she said, slurring a little bit and disappeared back into the club. I hugged myself as I leaned against the building, shivering a bit. A dark figure suddenly appeared from the shadows of an alley right next to the club. When he saw me he slowly approached me while I tried not to notice him and look away.

"You all alone tonight, baby?" he asked and I could tell from the tone of his voice that he wasn't drunk. I shifted uncomfortably under his gaze. I didn't look at him when I answered.

"No, now fuck off," I said quite harshly. The alcohol was making me like this. I had to calm down before my nerves got the best of me. Where the hell is Jill?

"Ah, looks like we got a feisty one, don't we?" he said with an evil grin and I was officially freaked out and scared. Suddenly, four more figures walked out from behind him and two of them quickly grabbed me by the arms.

"Let go of me!" I yelled angrily, but one of them covered my mouth with their disgusting hands.

"Ain't nobody gonna come save you now, sweetheart," said the guy coming very closely to my face. At that exact moment, Jill walked out of the club and when she saw the situation I was in her whole face was in shock. I was suddenly terrified for her and didn't want her to get hurt.

In a panic I bit the hand that was covering my mouth and he luckily uncovers my mouth. In that split second I was able to speak and I used those precious seconds to save my friend.

"Jill, run!" I screamed as loud as I could until a hand covered my mouth again. My screams and yells were muffled while Jill was frozen in fear. She didn't run. Dammit.

Instead, one of the guys grabbed her from behind and knocked her out with a cloth to the mouth. Oh, shit. I started to bash and flail my body around to try to get out of their iron grips but it was no use. I screamed before someone held a white cloth to my face and I tried to hold my breath but with all the commotion going on I couldn't hold it for long. I took one small whiff.

Then everything went black.
