As desperately as the tried to hide it, Prez's sister and boyfriend knew that she wanted more than anything to go to the model of Litwack's Arcade from Wreck-It Ralph. Of course, with the strict budget and need for secrecy that kept Prez, Girlie, and Bill just a step up from being homeless, they couldn't afford to give her a few quarters to go play the games.
So as the time that the arcade would be in town moved closer to its close and Prez became more and more depressed that she couldn't check it out, Bill had decided that he'd had enough.
The blonde sixteen-year-old dropped a case of quarters on the table in front of the Flappy Bird-playing girl.
"Aw, you made me die." Prez whined lightly, putting down the Nook to show her score - a 40, personal best.
"Go to the arcade, Prez." He pushed the quarters closer to her.
She looked at them blankly, stunned, before sighing. She couldn't just accept money that they could use to buy food. She'd bought her Nook herself, by taking dozens of little odd jobs throughout the town.
"We can't afford it. How much money even is that?"
Her eyes widened. "You expect me to take five dollars just to play some weird video games?"
"We all know you've been dying to go since it came around, Prez. And you deserve to do something just for fun. Go to the arcade."
"Take Girlie then, she wants to go. Don't you want to make her happy?"
Girlie looked up from her book in the corner. "I don't want -" She caught Bill's eye though, and restarted. "I mean, yeah, I'd love to go to the arcade, Prezzie! Please take me!"
Well, how was she supposed to say no to that? Besides, she'd been planning on agreeing to go the whole time. "All right."
She took the case of quarters, grabbed Girlie's hand, and sprinted down to the remake of Litwack's Arcade.
