6. Professor Snape
There was a soft knock at the door. "Come in" said Dumbledore. It was Severus Snape. "To what do I owe this pleasure?" asked Dumbledore.
"I have evidence that Professor Quirrell is after the stone Headmaster." Said Snape in his silky voice.
Snape was waiting for Dumbledore's reply, however it never came.
"I found him lurking in the third floor corridor" Snape continued "he was about the enter the room the three headed dog is in. However I walked up to him because I watched him walk through the corridor."
"Severus what do you personally think Quirrell would want with the stone?" Said Dumbledore
"For the Dark Lord" said Snape simply.
Dumbledore blanked "Severus could you keep an eye on him until I develop a plan?" he asked.
"It would be my pleasure" replied Severus as though he didn't want to at all.
Dumbledore walked the grounds, thinking of the threat Quirrell could pose. He thought about the sacrifice lily and James made for Harry, He knew that Voldemort couldn't kill Harry, But he could kill other students, teachers, people. He also knew that Voldemort feared Dumbledore more than everyone feared Voldemort. Would Voldemort risk dieing again just to get that stone, the stone that would let him live, that die again?
