The next day Dumbledore was sitting in his study reading a letter. The letter was from Hagrid. One very excited Hagrid he thought as he read through the letter. It explained that Harry and his new friend was going down for tea at his hut.
He looked out the window and saw Hagrid looking at the castle while "Watering" Pumpkins. He heard a soft knock at the door, "Enter" he said in his loud and clear voice.
It was Professor Quirrell, he looked at Dumbledore nervously and asked "You wanted to s-speak to me headmaster?"
"I wanted to ask you what you plan on teaching the first years this term?" Dumbledore replied
Quirrell sat down in a chair across from Dumbledore and said he was going to teach them about Vampires and go to teach them how to ward them off." He looked at Dumbledore and added "You have to be p-protected w-wherever you a-are".
Dumbledore looked at him, it looked as though Dumbledore was trying to X-Ray him. Then he smiled and said "Excellent, you may go now".
Just as Quirrell left Dumbledore could swear he saw the Turban move, and a funny smell appeared when Quirrell turned around.
The next day, Dumbledore went and asked Professor's McGonagal, Sprout, Flitwick, Quirrell, Snape, and Hagrid to help protect the Philosopher's stone that was hidden in the castle.
"Professor Dumbledore, may I suggest that the Strongest Enchantments go first" Said McGonagal
"I was thinking the exact same McGonagal" Replied Dumbledore
He then started to explain what the plan was from the protection of the stone.
He had Professor Sprout on retrieving Devil's Snare.
Professor Flitwick on enchantments of keys and brooms.
Professor Quirrell on retrieving a troll.
Professor McGonagal on enchanting a oversized chessboard.
Professor Snape on seven potions.
And asked a request from Hagrid.......
"Hagrid, is it possible that I might be able to use that charming Cerberus of yours?" Asked Dumbledore
"Fluffy, sir?" asked Hagrid quite astonished.
"Yes, I am in such a need to guard the trapdoor, also the trapdoor is going to be the entrance to the obstacles." replied Dumbledore.
"Sure, anythin' ter stop You-Kno..."
"Merlin's Beard Hagrid! It doesn't help but increase his power to still be afraid of Lord Voldemort. Call him by what he was known as. His name." Said Dumbledore quite pleased with the impact his words had, had on Hagrid.
"Yes Professor Dumbledore, sir." Replied Hagrid
"If you will excuse me Hagrid I have some work to attend to." Said Dumbledore
"Yes Sir, I will talk ter yer later." and without another word left Dumbledore to his work.
