2. Chapter 2: That Just Happened
I stared at him with wide eyes. Who in the right mind would want to kiss an ugly girl like me?! I thought. Our eyes met. "I need to get something..." Niall mumbled and walked off. Time was frozen as he walked off. Does he really like me at all? Did I like him? I'm confused. I thought. I snapped back to reality. I jumped up and ran after him. "Niall, wait!" I said. I grabbed his wrist. He stopped. "Please don't leave." I said, looking at my feet. He turned around and lifted my chin. I was shocked at what he did next. He pressed his lips to mine. He did it so causally. He slipped his arm around me. I was in a state of shock, a state were I wasn't able to move. He pulled away slowly. "You're a very pretty girl." He said and walked off again. My hand trailed after him, put fell to my side and swung. I stood there, mouth open, hands by my sides, eyes wide, unable to move. I watched him just walk off. I finally regained control of my body, but my mouth still hung open. I walked slowly back to the fire and sat down. "What happened?" Harry asked. "He.... He kissed me...." I said, still in a bit of shock and spoke in a whisper. Their jaws dropped and stared at me as I stared off into the distance where Niall disappeared. "Where is he going?" Liam asked. "I dunno..." I said.
I didn't know where I was going. I just walked aimlessly. I stopped. Blake's lips were so soft. I wanted to run back and kiss her again. I felt sparks when I kissed her. Her tiny body fit in my arms perfectly. I sighed. I knew I had to go back. Blake was coming with us so she'd be happy, and that's all I wanted. I just wanted her to be happy. I walked back with my hands in my pockets. As I approached the house again, I heard laughter. I quickened my pace a bit. I walked around the house and saw the boys laughing. Blake was smiling. She was smiling and her smile was absolutely beautiful. I walked back and gave a weak smile. "Hi." I said with a small wave. Everyone turned to look at me. Blake's smile faded and she stared at me. I sat where I was sitting a while before. She had moved while I was gone. She was next to Liam, whom I was sitting next to. She was on the other side of him. We heard a car. Blake jumped up. She turned out the fire and looked panicked. "You guys gotta leave." She said. We stood up. "Not without you." Loui said. "You have to." She said and ran towards the house. "What are you doing out of the house?!" A woman's voice screeched. I saw Blake be thrown back, holding her stomach in pain. She slid across the concrete. "No!" I almost yelled. I started to run, but the boys held me back. "If her parents know we're here, she'll be hurt even more." Zayn said. I stopped struggling and watched helplessly. A man picked her up by the collar of her shirt. "We told you to stay in your room!" The man hollered. He punched her in the face. Blood ran from her nose. All I could do was watch helplessly as the boys held onto me. "Tomorrow at noon, your stuff will be burned in front of your eyes." Her mother said. Her father threw her to the ground and kicked her. I couldn't take it. I broke free from the boys grip. I ran over as fast as I could. Blake was curled up in a ball in pain. Tears of anger and hurt ran down my face. I punched her father in the back of the head. "What is wrong with you! She's a living being, too!" I shouted. Her father threw a punch at me. I grabbed his fist and twisted it. "Get your hands off my husband!" Her mother shrieked. I did, but I kicked him back so he was on the ground. I did the same to her mother. Her parents crawled back to the car and drove off. I knelt down next to Blake. "Niall..." She spoke in barely a whisper. "It's OK... I'm here." I said. She turned her head to look at me and winced in pain. She was badly hurt. Her clothes were torn from sliding on the concrete. I grabbed her hand and gave it a small squeeze. The boys rushed over. "I didn't think you had that in you." Loui said. "Neither did I." I said. I helped Blake up. "Thank you." She said weakly. "Boys, get her stuff. All of it. I'll take care of her." I said. The boys nodded and ran in to get her stuff. I scooped Blake up and cradled her in my arms. "Are you alright?" I asked. "I don't know... They've never done that... Normally they just slap me or punch me in the stomach... But..." She trailed off. "I should've been here sooner. I should've just pushed the boys off me. You don't deserve to be so hurt." I said. She looked up at me. "The boys were worried that if I ran up, they'd hurt you more." I said. Her tiny body tensed up for a moment. She breathed through her teeth. "What's wrong?" I asked. "Something is jabbing my back." She said. I put her down and looked at her back. There was a big, shape rock in her back. "This might hurt and I'm sorry." I said. I pulled it out and she let out a small scream. "I'm really sorry." I said. "It's alright." She said. She hugged me.
I hugged him. He was so sweet and apologetic. The boys rushed out with a few bags with my stuff. "Only things left in you're room is your bed frame, bookshelf and dresser." Liam said. "Wait!" I said. I tried to run, but I fell. Niall grabbed me. He helped me to my room. I knelt down and reached under my bookshelf. I grabbed my writing book. I moved slowly to my dresser where my posters that I drew were. "Now I'm ready." I said. Niall helped me into the van and the boys put my stuff in. "Thank you so much for saving me from hell." I said. "It's the least we could do." Liam said. I took out my iPod and took a picture for Instagram. Saved from the hell hole. #Happyforfirsttime I typed and I fell asleep.
