My Pack of Protectors

Scarlett Hanson is new to Beacon Hills, she's only been around for a month or so. Now she's a target, and she's got some pretty awesome bodyguards. But she doesn't know what is targeting her, or why her in the first place. Will she fall for one of her bodyguards? Does she learn what is targeting her? Of all places to move, why Beacon Hills?

10. Not Going Home. Yet.

I was released from the hospital that night, and since Derek had carried me all the way here, Stiles drove me home, with Scott in shotgun, and Isaac next to me in the back seat of Stiles' jeep.

I'd told him my address and I walked in to my house, thankful my parents weren't home yet and grabbed a bag and threw some clothes in, my phone charger, other necessities, left a note for my parents and headed back out to the jeep.

Since I didn't want my parents to be suspicious, Nurse Melissa and Scott had offered to let me stay with them for the night. And since Isaac lived with them for reasons I didn't know and didn't want to pry on, I guess you could say I was staying with him too.

Stiles dropped us out front of Scott's house and the three of us hopped out, and Scott thanked Stiles and the boys lead me into the house.

There was a small debate between the boys in the kitchen which I could hear. Apparently they couldn't decide on where I would sleep. Both offered to sleep on the couch so I could have their room, but the other was quick to say no, they would.

In the end, Isaac got the couch and I got his room. Which was fine by me. I didn't care where I slept, if they'd known I was listening, I would have offered to sleep on the couch myself. But whatever.

So, Scott showed me to Isaac's room, got me settled and then left to go to his own room. I dropped m bag next to the bed and sat down. I noticed that Isaac had three pillows. Only needing two at most, I pushed the other to the floor and pulled my bag up onto the bed, looking for my pajamas. I pulled out my teddy bear slippers and set them on the floor.

I didn't notice the door open, or the boy whom I'd almost run over step in.

"You mind if I steal a pillow?" He'd asked. I looked up at him and smiled.

"Sure, Isaac." I grabbed the pillow off the floor and tossed it to him, he caught it of course. Wolf powers I suspect, and left the room.

Finally, I found my pajamas, laying them on the bed and shutting the door, before crossing back to the bed and stripping, pulling on my pajamas. They consisted of a seamless blue bandeau, and blue boy shorts with love written all over them. It may seem like I picked these pajamas because of where I was staying the night, but it was only because this is what I wear at home because I get way to hot in the night if I wear anything else.

I put my clothes from today back in the bag and put it next to the door, then shut off the light and walk back to the bed, curling up and pulling the covers around me, and resting my head against the soft pillow. I felt like I'd burrowed into something, everything around me keeping the cold out and the heat in. Though I know I wouldn't overheat in this warm embrace of blankets and sheets, I felt like I was laying under the sun.

Soon, the warmth was too much and my eyelids started getting really heavy, and I couldn't keep them open if I wanted to, if I tried. I slowly drifted off into a peaceful sleep.
