"There they are!" Harry shouted. He was pointing at Niall, Liam, and Zayn as they carried all our lunches this way. "Hurry up! I'm starving over here." Harry yelled at them, again.
"Harry, they're getting here as fast as they can." Louis said. "I mean look at how much food they have to carry." He gestured to the boys, kinda struggling. I was tempted to go help them, but I was still listening to Louis and Harry talk, and Harry..... Was, well being Harry.
"Well you're ok with it because you have Kayla." Harry raised an eyebrow at me. "I need my food for my own personal make-out session." He stuck his tongue out, but I looked away. I think Louis did too.
"What the hell are you doing Harry?" I heard Niall say. He was slightly laughing. I peeked from the corner of my eye, then turned my head to see everyone, when I saw that it was clear.
"Imitating Louis and Kayla." He pointed in this direction. Liam looked over at me. I pretended like I didn't notice.
"Well now we know what happened while we were gone. I was afraid it was going to be something more entertaining." Zayn said. He dropped the last thing he was holding, luckily Harry caught it. Liam just kept looking back and forth. Niall would hand him something to set down, he'd look at it, then he'd look back at me. I think Louis started to notice because he pulled me a little closer to him and started holding my hand.
"Are you guys just going to sit there?" Niall turned and looked at the three of us. "Come eat!" Niall was already sitting and eating by the time I got my food.
"This is delicious." Harry was the first to talk since everyone started eating. "I was absolutely starving." He was talking with his mouth full.
"So the park was beautiful, and quiet, this morning, now we've eaten lunch, what are we going to do this afternoon?" Liam finally spoke. He was laying back with his sunglasses on.
"I enjoy hanging with you guys and all. You know I love you, but I've got to get going. I promised Perrie we'd go see a movie. Then we're going out to dinner with my mum." Zayn stood up and stretched his arms.
"You really have to go?" I asked, a little sad. Zayn and Perrie though, they are almost too cute together. There was no way I was going to ask him to stay, and I knew the boys were thinking the same.
"I just can't stay. Thanks for lunch though." His smile got real big.
"You used us." Harry sat straight up, and looked at him. Quite shocked at what he had done. "You had already made plans with Perrie, you knew this whole time. You just used us to get food. I'm ashamed of you Malik." Harry shook his head. Zayn rolled his eyes.
"If it makes you feel any better you can have the rest of my food. I usually give it to Niall, but I can make an exception this once." He offered it to Harry, of course Harry took it.
"Well thanks Zayn. I was looking forward to that." Niall had to argue jokingly now.
"I'm sure you'll get plenty of leftovers Niall." Zayn said, as he did Louis handed what was left of his to Niall. "See."
Zayn said goodbye to everyone, and Harry walked the trail with him to make sure he got to his car alright. While Harry was gone we had to clean up. That's always the worst part.
"Can I talk to you?" Liam whispered as we were finishing up.
"About what?" I looked at him. Then at Louis. I know Louis wasn't comfortable with us even looking at each other, if he catches me talking to him he's going to think something's up.
"Don't worry about him. If he notices I'll deal with it. Besides, it's not like there is anything going on here. We are just two friends having a chat." Liam said it so calm, but he couldn't look me in the eyes. It broke my heart, again. First this morning watching him twirl that flower. Second, right after that, his face when I told him to let go. They always say third time's the charm, well something clicked in me as he looked around, not meeting my eyes, even though I looked right at him.
"I'm sorry Liam, I've got to go." I finally stopped looking at him. I looked at the ground as I walked away. I came up to Louis and told him I needed to go home. He looked at Liam, then back at me.
"What happened?" He put an arm around me as we walked.
"Nothing. I'm just not feeling well. I may have eaten too much." I tried to cover it up. Louis, of course, didn't believe me.
"I know you better than that. Now just tell me what happened." He wasn't gonna stop till he got an answer, he at least thought was true.
"Let's get through the rest of today, and tonight you come over and I'll tell you everything that happened? Please?" I would've got down on my hands and knees and begged him. I just needed some time to sort this out. How am I supposed to explain it to him when it just happened? Plus I didn't want any more tension between the two of them.
"The rest of today is your day. Since I'm driving, you decide. Where to next?"
