I woke up in the backseat of the car, the sun in my eyes, and my top missing.
The door opened and there was my shirt. "Good morning. I was just about to wake you up. Some people noticed me, and they're coming. They're coming quick." She looked at whatever it was, and then back at me.
"Fuck" I sighed, pushing my hair back. "Let's go then." I climbed into the driver seat and started the car as she got into the passenger seat. "One question... Where are we going? We have to be back to -"
"Cant we just enjoy this? We can worry about that when the time comes. Do you want to go see my mom?" Her hair blew back from the wind coming in from the window as I drove off.
"Why don't we not get your mum mixed up in this? Next week I don't have a show in nine hours, we can go visit her then. Also we have people following us. I'd rather not take them to her." I looked at her and she nodded in agreement.
"Ok, but I don't want to go back yet?" Her hair flowing in the wind, the sun hitting her face just right, how could I say no?
"Do you need these?" I pulled my sunglasses down from above me and held them out.
"Oh I do. Thank you." She took them, putting them on immediately. Then she showed them off with one little pose. "How do they look?"
"Amazing. I guess you can just have everything of mine." I looked at her again, and noticed she was even wearing my shoes. "You're even wearing my shoes." I said slowly, confused. "How do those things fit you?" I looked down at the shoes again.
"My foot is bigger than you think. I'll give you your shoes back as soon as we stop somewhere, but I don't know if I can part with this shirt." She pulled on the shirt, then it fell back into place.
"I don't even care, the only problem is going anywhere without a shirt." As I finished my sentence I heard a familiar tone. I felt in one pocket, then the other, not there. It must have fallen out in the back.
"Don't worry I've got it." I heard a mumble. Then I looked over, and my phone was in my face.
"Hello." I answered, almost freaking out.
"What the actual fuck Louis?" I pulled the phone away from ear. It showed Harry, but it definitely wasn't Harry on the other end.
"What do you mean?" I asked, knowing perfectly well what he was talking about.
"Oh come on. Where are the two of you right now? You have to get back here now." Liam yelled at me. Why couldn't Harry actually be the one talking to me right now? I've had enough of him.
"And why should I listen to you?" I was growing angrier just knowing Liam was on the other side of this phone, and I could reach him.
"You aren't obeying me, your obeying Simon. He's here, and he's pissed because you aren't. He wants to talk to us, all three of us. He saw everything last night at the show, and he's been bitching us out for hours on end. Where are you Lou?" I was just about to answer when he started up again. "Oh I don't need to ask that question because I've seen the pictures. Guess what? So has Simon. He wants you two back here now." Then he hung up on me.
"I'm done." I looked at her as I threw my phone out the window.
"What?" She looked back at the phone in shock. "Lou, who was it?"
"It was Liam. I'm not going back there. Looks like we can go visit your mom today afterall." I sped up a little with anger.
"What did he say? What happened? And Lou please slow down a little." Her voice full of confusion and terror.
I pulled over into a parking lot so I could tell her everything. "Simon came, and he wants us to come back so we can all talk. It's never just that with him though. He saw the show last night, of course, and he's seen pictures of us online from last night and today. And Liam is a dick about it. He's seen them, and he's not happy either. I can't go back, I won't. I'm done with those stupid headache shows, and meet and greets. I'm done with being away from the ones I love for so long. I'm done with Twitter, and the hate. I'm done with having to be perfect all the time for everyone. I can't handle it anymore." I put my head on the steering wheel. When I lifted my head up I felt her hand rub my cheek. I didn't even realize I had started crying.
"Here make it official." She handed me her phone, which was almost dead. I needed to so this quick.
"You aren't going to stop me?" I held the phone in my hand, debating now.
"I support whatever decision you make, even if I think it's a little crazy. You seem to have made up your mind, so I'm with you. Go for it." She nudged her head at the phone. I unlocked it, clicked on Twitter and signed in.
I love each and every one of you, but I've decided that I'm leaving. Goodbye.
I signed out, leaving things at that. "Look at me." Her voice drowned by my head spinning, but still there. "Lou, please." Our eyes met, both full of tears.
"Why are you crying? Please don't cry. It'll only make me cry more." I hugged her best I could. It was a long, but terrible hug. I guess we both needed it.
"When you cry, I cry. Your pain and misery is to share. That's how much I love you Louis." Her lips pressed my cheek, and I let her words sink in.
"I love you too."
