Words > Me

Hello, thank you for clicking on this digital book of poetry. These are in no way final. I may rewrite them some day and repost them, these are what just comes to mind whenever I listen to music or as dreams and I do apologize if any of this offends you I in no way want to offend anyone. So, thank you if you take the time to read anyone of these in your busy day. Thank you.

The voices in my head, they won’t go away.

Even if I beg, even if I scream, even if I pray

They ask me to do inhuman things, and won’t leave me until I do

Even if I ask, even if I demand, even if I implore.

They ask me: “who are you?” While I watch them stare at me,

Judging me

Scorning me

Mocking me

They tell me that “Human” is just a word

That has no meaning whatsoever

That it’s just something to bind ourselves with

Because “God” was never real

I can hear them

I can feel them

can see them

I can smell them so well that

I can almost taste them.

They tell me that “Animal” is what we are

Because “human” has no meaning whatsoever

That our tears are just an act

And our sorrow is just a distortion.

They watch me

They watch my every move

My every breath

My every mistake

Because “God” was never real

And “God’ will never be real

Because the only sound that drowns their voices

Are your screams, which are filled with anguish,

And the sound of my laughter that has become lodged in my throat.

Because I’ve told myself again and again and again:

“Human” has no meaning whatsoever
