Ashton: It was finally warming up. Spring was here and you didn’t have to wear those heavy sweaters and long sleeves anymore. You were looking forward to getting some sun on your pale skin after the long winter. You had finished your final exams at school and you were ready to enjoy yourself. You were also excited because you worked your butt off during the winter to get that summer body you always wanted after having years of self-image issues. You finally felt comfortable enough in your own skin to wear bathing suits and tank tops and shorts. You were ready for those late summer nights with your best friends and, of course, your boyfriend, Ashton. You had big plans for this summer, and you were determined to make it the best one yet. You and your best friend even had a bucket list of things to complete before you both parted ways to go back to school in the fall. However, you had been exempted from a few things on that bucket list since you started dating Ashton in the fall. You and your best friend were going shopping for summer clothes today, since you had lost so much weight during the winter months. As you were getting ready to go out, you heard a knock on the door. Knowing that it was your best friend you just yelled, “It’s open!” Soon enough, she popped her head in the bathroom where you were finishing up your mascara. “Heeeey pretty lady,” your best friend said, walking into the bathroom. “Ready to go get some sexy summer clothes?” she asked with a slight smirk on her face. “Almost. Just let me grab a few things,” you said, walking past her and out of the bathroom. “And I’m not looking for sexy clothes! I just want weather appropriate clothing!” you called over your shoulder to her. “Yeah okay, we’ll see about that,” your best friend said with a laugh. After grabbing your purse and your keys you were all ready to go. You guys drove to the mall and headed to your all-time favorite store. After picking out some cute summer outfits, you made your way to the dressing room to try them on, just as you removed your shirt, your phone buzzed, showing a snapchat from Ashton. You smiled, and opened it. “Can we hang out today? Miss you,” it said, showing a pouty faced Ashton. You giggled and sent him one back, with a silly face saying, “When I’m done at the mall.” You set your phone down and tried on the outfits you picked out, some being cute, some needing to go back on the racks. When you took off your last outfit, you heard your best friend yelling your name as she ran into the dressing room. “Y/N! Y/N! You need to try this dress on! It’s so cute, and it’s the last one, and it’s in your size!” she said, knocking furiously on the door to your changing room. You laughed and opened the door slightly, taking the dress from her and closing it again. The dress really was cute, and you were glad she found it. After putting it on, you looked in the mirror and smiled immediately. It was the perfect fit. It was a pretty coral color, with criss-cross straps in the back. “Do you wanna see?” you called to your best friend. “Obviously,” she said back with a touch of sass. As you stepped out of the dressing room, your friend’s mouth dropped. “Holy shit Y/N, it’s perfect. Ashton’s gonna love you in that,” she said with a wiggle of her eyebrows. “It also shows off your tattoos perfectly.” At that, your face dropped a bit. Ashton didn’t know about your tattoos, which were on both of your shoulder blades. You knew that once he saw them he would want the story, and you weren’t sure if you were ready to tell him about your past yet. Your friend sensed your worry and said, “Don’t worry girl. I know he’ll love them, no matter what the story behind them,” she said with a smile. She always knew the right thing to say. You smiled at her and took another look at the dress in the mirror, deciding it was too cute to let go. “I’m gonna get it,” you said with a confident smile, and went back into the changing room to take it off. After you bought the dress, you and your friend spent another hour at the mall, just messing around and having a good time. When you were on your way home, you texted Ashton saying, “On my way home. Come over in 20?” He responded right away saying he’ll be there. After your friend dropped you off, you thanked her and went to freshen up a little bit before Ashton got there. You plopped yourself on the couch and opened the book you had been reading. Soon enough, Ashton was knocking on the door to your apartment. Not bothering to wait for you to come open it, he just let himself in, knowing it would be open. “Babe?” he said, looking around for you. “On the couch,” you said, eyes not leaving your book. He came and joined you on the couch, wrapping his arms around your waist and pressing a kiss to your cheek. You closed your book and turned to face him, your lips dangerously close to his. “Hi,” you whispered. “Hi,” he said back and pulled your closer so that he could kiss you properly. His lips were soft and they felt perfect on top of yours. He pulled away and rested his forehead on yours. “How was the mall?” he asked. “Good. I got some summer clothes. A really cute dress that I can’t wait to wear,” you said. “Can I see it? Will you go put it on for me?” Ashton asked, pressing another kiss to your lips. You hummed against his lips and mumbled a yes. “Good, I can’t wait to see,” he said, letting go of your waist so you could go change. You went into the bedroom and put on your new dress, falling in love with it all over again. “Ready?” you called to Ashton in the other room. “Yeah, lemme see babe,” he said in response. You emerged from your bedroom and walked to where Ashton could see you. He let out a low whistle and stood up to walk over to where you were standing. “What do you think?” you asked him. “You look so beautiful. Wear that on our next date?” he asked. “If you want me to, yeah, I will,” you said with a smile. He took a step closer to you and grabbed your hand. “Let me get a better look here,” he said lifting your hand over your head and spinning you so that he could see the 360 view. You giggled as you met his gaze again. Except he had a look of confusion on his face. “Y/N?” he said. “Yeah, what’s up?” you answered, knowing exactly what he was going to say. He turned you around and moved your hair over your shoulder, fingertips lightly ghosting over your tattoos. “I didn’t know you had this,” he said softly. “I like this quote,” he added. “But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep,” he read out loud. The first part of the quote was on your left shoulder and the second part on your right. “I got it last year,” you said, knowing he was going to ask about the meaning. He turned you around and smiled at you. “Why don’t you go change and then we can just chill?” he said. When you came back into your living room after changing, Ashton was sitting on your couch. You sat down and cuddled up to him, waiting for him to ask about your tattoo. The two of you stayed like this for a while, just sitting together, enjoying each other’s company. “What does it mean?” he said after a while. “It’s a reminder,” you told him without hesitation. “Of what?” he asked. “That I’m not finished yet,” you said in a voice barely above a whisper. A few tears slipped from your eyes and onto Ashton’s shirt. He lifted your head from his chest and wiped your tears away. “Tell me about it darling,” he said in a soothing voice, wrapping his arms around your waist. “A few years ago, I was having a really hard time with who I was and what I looked like. I was suicidal and self-harmed, and I just didn’t really see the point in living anymore,” you told him, looking down at your lap, feeling embarrassed you had to say this out loud. “But I don’t understand,” Ashton started with a shaky voice, and you could tell he was on the verge of tears. “I felt worthless,” you said in a small voice. “You’re perfect. Why would you ever think that about yourself?” he continued. “Because that’s what I was told,” you said, still looking down. “But, who would say that to you?” he inquired, his voice still shaky. You paused, not wanting to say it out loud. “My father,” you finally said, letting go of all the tears you were holding in. “He said that to you?” Ashton asked you softly, and you could tell he was crying now. You nodded. “Every day of my life,” you told him. “I had no idea,” he said, pressing a soft kiss to your head. “It’s okay,” you replied. Immediately, Ashton started shaking his head at you. “No. It’s not okay. No one should ever make you feel that way. Especially not someone who is supposed to care for you,” he said. His strong arms pulled you onto his lap and he placed his hands on both sides of your face. You tried to avoid his eyes, not wanting to see them full of tears. “Look at me. I don’t ever want you to feel like you’re worthless. You mean everything to me, and I want my girl to be happy. You’re absolutely perfect, just the way you are, and I love you so much.”

Calum: It had been quite a while since you and Calum had gone on an actual date. He had been busy with song writing and recording for months, and you just seemed to never have time for a date night. Since you two didn’t live together, it was difficult to make time to see each other, especially since you were a student and had a job. You couldn’t really complain though. Calum was a sweetheart, and he did his best to make time for you in addition to the band. Lately, you two struggled to find some alone time, since the band was always around. Calum suggested that you two have a date night, since you hadn’t had one in quite some time. “Cal, we don’t need to go out on a date. Just being with you is enough,” you told him, not wanting to make a big fuss. “Nope, Y/N. I’m going to take you out to a fancy restaurant, and we’re going to go on a proper date. Don’t even think about arguing,” he said, wrapping his arms around your shoulders and pressing a kiss to your lips. You snaked your arms around his waist and pulled him closer, so your chests were pressed against each other. When he started to pull away, you mumbled a, “No, don’t go,” against his lips. He let out a deep chuckle and pulled away anyways. “As much as I’d love to stay here with you, I have to meet the boys at the studio. I’ll pick you up for our date at seven?” he asked. You nodded with a slight pout. “Aww come on baby, don’t be like that. Tonight will be great. Wear that dress I like?” he asked you, pulling a puppy dog face to compete with your pout. You knew exactly what dress he was talking about. “Hmm, I’m having trouble remembering which dress you’re talking about babe,” you teased. “Oh come on, Y/N. You know which one,” he said and you started walking towards him. “You mean the tight, black dress that hugs me in all the right places, and shows off my legs magnificently? Is that the dress you’re talking about?” You pressed your chest against his and you could feel him gulp. “Fuck, Y/N. Yes. That dress. Please wear that dress tonight,” he said. You smirked and placed your hands around his neck, lacing your fingers through his hair. “I guess I could wear that one tonight,” you said before placing your lips on his and kissing him passionately. He groaned into your mouth and you smirked, knowing that you were turning him on. Suddenly you pulled away and walked towards the bathroom. “Well you don’t want to be late to the studio babe. I’ll see you at seven?” you said with a smirk still on your lips. Calum narrowed his eyes at you and made three long strides to cross the room and stand in front of you, lips dangerously close. “I know exactly what you’re trying to do darling. Don’t even think about it,” he said in a low voice. “Think about what Cal? I have no idea what you’re talking about,” you said, feigning innocence. “Now go and get your cute butt to the studio before you’re late,” you said, walking around him and slapping his ass as you walked by. “You are an evil woman,” he said. You turned towards him and smiled. “Yes, but I’m your evil woman. Now seriously, go or you’re going to be late,” you told him. “Yeah, yeah, okay. Seven o’clock. Be ready in that dress,” he said, gathering his things and walking towards the front door. “Goodbye, Calum,” you said, opening the door and pushing him outside, then closing it behind him. “I love you!” he yelled through the door, and you opened it again, only to see him still standing on the porch. “I forgot something,” he said. “Oh yeah? What’s that?” you asked. “This,” he said as he pressed his lips onto yours. You smiled into the kiss and he pulled away. “I love you too Calum,” you said as he walked to his car. “Can’t wait for tonight. Seven o’clock. Black dress,” he reminded you again. “Yes, you told me. Get your ass to the studio before you’re late,” you said, closing your front door. As much as you didn’t want to make a big fuss about it, you really were excited for date night. You couldn’t remember the last time you and Calum went out, just the two of you. After Calum’s car left your driveway, you went upstairs to your bedroom and opened your closet. You found the ever-famous black dress and pulled it off the rack, hanging it up on one of the knobs on your dresser. You pulled out your matching black heels and picked out jewelry to go along with the outfit. You were glad you had the day off of work today, so you could relax before your date, since you were sure you weren’t going to be sleeping much that night. You decided to take a nap for a few hours before you had to shower and get ready. When you woke up, you decided to hop in the shower, making sure to shave your legs and use the vanilla scented body wash you knew Calum liked. When you were done, you wrapped yourself in a towel and made your way to your bedroom. You picked out matching, black lace, bra and underwear, and put them on. You dried your hair and straightened it, and then you did your makeup. You wanted to look absolutely perfect tonight. 6:30 rolled around pretty quick and you decided it was time to get dressed. You pulled the dress over your legs and zipped it up. You sat down on your bed to put on your black heels, and put on the simple jewelry you had picked out earlier. Walking over to your full length mirror, you smiled at your reflection, feeling absolutely beautiful. You gathered your few belongings you would need for the night and put them in your black clutch purse. By the time you were completely ready to go, it was exactly seven o’clock and Calum was ringing your doorbell. When you opened it, his jaw dropped. “Like what you see, Cal?” you asked, with a smirk on your lips. “Y/N,” he breathed out. “You look absolutely stunning baby,” he said, stepping through the doorway and wrapping his arms around your waist, kissing your lips softly. “You know, I love that dress, but I can’t even tell you how much I love my girl in heels. Much less neck strain,” he said leaning in to kiss you again. You giggled against his lips, thinking about what the rest of the night would bring. He pulled away and laced his fingers with yours. “Well come on. I do believe we have a date, darling,” he said and pulled you out the front door and led you to his car. He opened your door like a true gentleman, and treated you like a princess all night. The restaurant was amazing and dinner was even better. “I’m so glad I got to spend time with you tonight. I missed my girl too much,” he said, taking your hand and kissing the back of it. “Back to yours then?” he asked when you stood up to leave. “I’ve been looking forward to it all day,” you said, pressing a kiss to his lips. When you got back to your house, Calum didn’t waste any time and attached his lips to yours as soon as the front door was shut. He pressed your back against the wall and kissed you roughly. “Bedroom, Cal,” you told him. He detached his lips from yours and scooped you up bridal style, making you laugh. As he carried you up the stairs, you peppered his jawline with kisses. When you made it to the bedroom, Calum placed you gently on the bed before crawling on top of you, attaching his lips to yours once more. His hands were around your waist and yours tangled in his hair. “Mmm, baby. You look so good tonight. I hate to take that magnificent dress off your body,” he mumbled in between kisses. You could only hum in response. Calum pulled his lips away from yours and tugged on the hem of your dress. You sat up so he could remove it, pulling it over your head and discarding it on the floor. “Ooo, we’re matching today, huh?” he said, looking at your bra and panties. “Just for you, Cal,” you said, pulling him close to kiss him again. He trailed his lips down your body, through the valley of your breasts, over your hipbone, and all the way down to your ankles, where your high heeled shoes were still strapped on your feet. He slowly unbuckled and removed one, tossing it to the floor, before he moved onto the next one. However, when he removed the other shoe, he froze and looked up at you. “What?” you asked him, wondering why he stopped. “Since when do you have a tattoo?” he asked. “Oh, since always. It’s a white tattoo, so you can’t really see it unless you’re looking for it,” you told him. He traced his fingers along your tattoo, a bare tree with dozens of roots, running down the inside of your ankle and onto your foot. “It’s so beautiful,” he murmured, pressing a kiss to it. “To remind me where my roots are, a reminder of family,” you said. When he heard this, he broke out in a smile. “Even more beautiful,” he said. He crawled up your body once again to meet your lips, and you continued on with the night’s activities.

Michael: Finally, it was summer. You had just finished your final exams for your first year at university and you couldn’t have been happier with your results. Now, you could just kick back, enjoy the sunshine, and not have to worry about school work for four months. Luke had invited all the boys over for a pool party and barbecue to celebrate the beginning of summer, and being Michael’s girlfriend, of course you were invited too. “Babe? Do you know where my swim trunks are?” you heard Michael yell from your shared bedroom. You sighed and walked to the bedroom to help him look. “Michael, I laid them out for you. They’re right here,” you said with a giggle as you hand him his bathing suit that was resting over the back of the desk chair. He took them from you and pulled you in for a kiss, wrapping his arm around your waist. “What would I ever do without you?” he said with a cheeky grin. “Probably whatever you did before you met me,” you said with a smirk. He kissed you again, this time with more force than the last one. You put your palms flat on his chest, pushing him away gently with another giggle. “Michael, come on, we don’t want to be late,” you say as you try to escape his grasp. “Just one more kiss babe,” he says, pulling you closer. Giving in to him, you pressed your lips to his, loving the feeling of his soft lips on yours. He hummed against your lips as he kissed you. “Mmm babe, wear that bikini you just bought. I’ve been dying to see it on you,” he says as he pulls away from you. You turn around to go to your dresser and he gives your bum a quick slap. “Oh so it’s one of those days, huh?” you said, knowing very well that Michael was going to be very touchy today. “I don’t know what you’re talking about Y/N,” he said with a wink before walking out of your bedroom. “Cheeky boy,” you mumbled to yourself with a grin before getting your things together for the party, being sure to put your new bikini in your bag. When you arrived at Luke’s house, everyone was already there and in the pool. “Come on in guys, the water feels great!” Luke said when you and Michael walked into the backyard. Michael gave you a quick kiss on the cheek and told you he was going to get changed, then disappeared into the house. You went to greet Liz and the other moms, and Mali who was sitting with them. You sat down and socialized with them while the boys were just being boys in the pool. After a while, Michael and Calum came over to where you were sitting, soaking wet. “What’s up boys?” Liz asked them. They both had smirks on their lips and devilish twinkles in their eyes. You and Mali exchanged a glance and you both knew what was about to happen. “Oh no you don’t-” you started to say before Michael scooped you up bridal style and walked over to the edge of the pool, threatening to throw you in. “Michael Clifford!” you yelled as he carried you. Then you whispered in his ear saying, “Just think, if you throw me in now, you won’t get to see that new bikini.” This made him stop what he was doing and set you down. You noticed that Mali wasn’t so lucky, as Calum had already thrown her in while she was still wearing her clothes. “That’s what I thought,” you said with a smirk after Michael set you on your feet. You pressed your lips to Michael’s cheek, grabbed your bag and skipped into the house to change. After putting on your bikini, you made your way back out to the yard and set your bag down on a chair. Michael hadn’t noticed you come out of the house, so you decided to jump in the pool right behind him, splashing water all over him. When you came up for air, Michael had the best look of disbelief on his face, and you laughed at his expression as he grabbed your waist and pulled you close. You instinctively wrapped your legs around his waist and your arms around his neck. “Oh, you think that’s funny?” he said with a grin. “Actually yes. I think it’s quite funny,” you replied, kissing his nose. He leaned in and pressed his lips to your ear. “By the way, I’m loving the bikini, Y/N,” he said in a low voice, pressing a kiss to your ear. “You can’t even see the whole thing,” you said with a giggle. “More than half of me is under water.” He shook his head, still smiling. “Well I like what I can see, babe. And you have to get out of the pool sometime,” he said with a wink. After swimming around and having a great time with Michael and the boys for a while, Liz called that dinner was ready. Everyone jumped out of the pool and wrapped themselves in towels, heading for the food. You were the last one out of the pool, and Michael offered you a hand, helping you climb out. “Wow babe, I’m really liking the rest of that suit,” he said with a smirk spread across his face, him obviously checking you out. “I’m glad you’re enjoying the view,” you said with a chuckle, reaching for your towel. “Y/N?” Michael said. His voice filled with surprise. “Yeah?” you responded. “What’s that on your side?” he questioned, lifting your arm and turning your body to get a better look. “You have a tattoo? I didn’t know that,” he said, leaning down to read what it said. “Yeah, I guess it just kinda slipped my mind. I didn’t even think to tell you,” you said with a shrug. “Everything has beauty, but not everyone can see it,” Michael read. “I like it. What does it mean?” A feeling of sadness washed over you, your smile faltering a bit. “I’ll tell you when we get home Mikey. I don’t want to spoil the mood,” you said. He nodded, and you joined the rest to get food. The rest of the evening was a blast. The food was delicious and the boys were a lot of fun, as usual. When you and Michael got home, you knew the question was coming. “So can you tell me about your tattoo now?” Michael asked, wrapping his arms around your waist. “Um, yeah. I guess,” you said, feeling a bit nervous telling Michael about your past. You grabbed his hand and led him over to the couch in your living room and sat down. No one really ever asked about your tattoo before, so you never had to tell anyone the meaning behind it. Now that Michael was asking, you were nervous about it. Sensing that you were a bit scared, Michael held your face in his hands and forced you to look at him. “Hey, hey. It’s alright. You can tell me anything, babe. You don’t have to be scared,” he said, reassuring you. You gave him a weak smile and started to tell him about your tattoo and why you got it. “When I was younger, I never felt good enough. Like I never felt pretty enough. I always thought everyone else was beautiful, but I never felt that way about myself. I always had really low self-esteem. So after a few struggling years, I got this tattoo as a reminder that sometimes beauty isn’t always physical,” you said, looking down at your fingers, still intertwined with Michael’s. “Oh, Y/N,” Michael said and he pulled you into a bone crushing hug. A few tears slipped out of your eyes as you buried your face in his chest. Michael pressed a loving kiss to the top of your head and pulled away from you, but keeping his hands on either side of your face. “You know you’re absolutely stunning right? I think you’re the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen. And it doesn’t matter what other people think, because you’re absolutely gorgeous, inside and out.” His words made a few more tears slip from your eyes, and he wiped them away with his thumbs. He pulled you in and kissed you passionately. When he pulled away, he looked at your tear stained face and just murmured, “Beautiful.”

Luke: You and Luke hadn’t been dating that long. Only a few months had passed since he asked you to be his girlfriend, but you felt like you had known him forever. As soon as you and Luke met, you two just clicked. People thought it was strange how natural things were between you two. Since you hadn’t really been dating that long, there was still so much to learn about each other, and you both knew that. So instead of going out to fancy restaurants, you preferred to just have dates at one of your homes. To be honest, you weren’t really a fan of big, showy dates anyways, so this was perfect for the beginning of your relationship. Tonight, Luke was coming over for a movie night. He said he would bring the food as long as you picked the movies. When you heard a knock on your door, your heart leapt out of your chest. Opening the door, you revealed your tall, blonde boyfriend, holding a box of pizza and a grocery bag full of snacks. “Hi babe. All ready for tonight?” he asked you when you opened the door. You couldn’t help but smile at how cute he was. Nodding your head, you opened the door wider and let him enter your apartment, giving him a quick peck on the lips as he walked by you to put the food on the kitchen table. After setting all the food items down, he turned around to face you and opened is arms wide, waiting for you to properly greet him. You chuckled at your boyfriend and walked over to him, wrapping your arms around his waist as his fell naturally onto your shoulders. Resting your chin on his chest, you looked up at him and smiled. “Hi,” you said in a small voice. “Hi,” he said back. “Can I have a kiss?” he asked, his cheeks turning slightly pink with the question. You giggled and said, “Luke, you don’t have to ask. You can kiss me whenever you want.” He leaned his head down so that his lips captured yours, kissing you lovingly. “Just checking,” he said with a grin, soon leaning in to kiss you again. You’re hands soon left his waist and found themselves on the back of his neck, pulling him closer to you as you were kissing him. God you loved the way his lips felt on top of yours. They were so soft, and perfectly plump, and that lip ring added just a little something extra. “I think I could kiss you forever,” you mumble against his lips, pulling him even closer so that your chests were pressed together. “Well,” he said in between kisses, “as much as I’d love that, I think the pizza is getting cold.” You pulled away and laughed at your boyfriend. “Always thinking about food, huh Luke?” you joked. He looked at you with a smirk. “Guilty,” he said. After grabbing plates and pizza, you both made your way into your living room, where the movie choices were laid out on your coffee table. “You pick first,” you said. He scanned over your selection and then smiled up at you, holding up the movie he chose. “Of course you would choose Mean Girls. Doesn’t surprise me at all,” you said, taking the movie out of his hand and popping it in the DVD player. As you did this, Luke situated himself on the couch, waiting for you to come and join him. After the movie was in, you pressed play and snuggled up to Luke on the couch. After you both finished your pizza, he draped one arm around your shoulder, pulling you close and pressing a kiss to your temple. As your movie night went on, you and Luke paid less attention to the movies and more attention to each other. After a few movies, Luke was lying on his back on your couch, and you were laying right on top of him, your hands resting on his chest, and your chin on top of them. Both of your eyes were hooded with sleep, and you knew you weren’t going to be able to stay awake much longer. “I should probably get going…” Luke trailed off. You turned your head and buried your face in his chest, shaking your head as you did so. “But I don’t want you to go,” you mumbled into his chest. You felt the vibrations through his body as he chuckled at your response. “Y/N, I still have to drive home,” he said, gently running his hands along your back. “Just stay for the night,” you said, finally picking your head up and looking him in the eye. “Really? You want me to stay?” he sounded surprised. “Oh course I want you to stay. I always want you to stay. Please, Luke?” you ask him, patiently waiting for a response. He broke out into a smile and leaned up to press a kiss to your lips. “Alright. If you want me to stay, then I’ll stay,” he said. With that, you climbed off him, and reached out your hand to him, interlacing your fingers. You lead him upstairs to your bedroom where you both began getting ready for bed. You were both quiet as you undressed, neither of you minding the comfortable silence. You pulled your legs through some shorts and pulled a plain white t shirt over your head. It was a bit see through, and you knew your bra was visible, but you didn’t think Luke would mind. When you turned around, you smiled as you saw Luke in only his boxers. “If I would have known I would have brought pajamas,” he said with a shrug. You giggled at his response and reassured him that it was okay. “I don’t mind,” you said, walking over to him and wrapping your arms around his waist. He leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on your lips. “Come on,” you said, pulling him to your bed, “I’m sleepy.” As you turned around towards the bed, Luke noticed something on your skin under your t shirt. Something he had never noticed before. “Babe? Do you have a tattoo?” he questioned. “Oh yeah, I do. It’s a dream catcher,” you told him, taking a seat on your bed. “Can I…Can I see it?” Luke asks, his face turning red as he does so. You nod your head as you motion for him to sit next to you on your bed. As he sits, you turn your back to him and pull your t shirt off. “Wow,” is all he says. “Can I…um- can I undo your bra? To see the whole thing?” he asks, obviously a little nervous. “Yeah, I don’t mind,” you said, turning your head to give him a reassuring smile. Soon, you felt his soft fingers on your back, gently unclasping the back of your bra. When he saw the full picture, he was awestruck. It was a beautiful dream catcher, with stunning blue feathers hanging from the bottom. His fingers gently traced the outline as he whispered, “It’s beautiful.” You couldn’t help but smile at his words. He leaned forward and placed a soft kiss to your back, right over the center of the tattoo. He reclasped your bra for you and you pulled your t shirt over your head once again. When you turned around to face him, his cheeks were still slightly pink. You gave him a smile and a gentle kiss on the lips before laying your head on the pillow, him following suit. “Does it mean something?” he asked you in a hushed voice, wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you into his chest. It felt nice to be pressed up against him like this. You felt safe in his arms. “Well, when I was little I used to have really bad nightmares and I used to wake up screaming in the middle of the night. Sometimes it would take me hours to fall back asleep, so my grandmother got me a dream catcher to keep by my bed and it helped my nightmares go away. When I was a teenager, my family traveled a lot and I wasn’t always able to take the dream catcher with me. So when I was seventeen, I got this tattoo so I wouldn’t have to worry about it anymore,” you explained to him. “And do you ever have nightmares?” he asked. “Almost never,” you replied with a smile.
