Prez hugged her sister close, trying to calm her down, while desperately reaching out with her mind. Bill? Bill, can you hear me? Please answer me . . . .
Girlie's in trouble. Something about a Time Council . . .
'God DAMN it! Okay, okay, I have a friend that might be able to help. I'll send her over to help the headache, and I'll put up stronger mental walls. Don't let her out of your sight. Everything's going to be fine.'
Funny how every time anyone says that things go wrong.
'I promise I'll fix everything.'
'I can do big things.'
Fair enough. Please hurry.
After reassuring his fiancee, Bill started another call.
'Bill? Long time no talk.' The raspy voice of a twelve-year-old answered.
Yeah, yeah, I'll make more of an effort . . . Listen, I need your help.
'What do you need?'
The Time Council's trying to kill an innocent little kid.
Yeah, yeah. Just . . . can you help her headache? I'm going to try to get them out of her head.
'What's her name and where is she?'
GirlOfManyFandoms Appleshine, at the Mystery Shack.
'You're no match for them. You'll get yourself killed.'
Better me than her.
Got a problem with it?
'Not really. I'll do what I can.'
When can you get there going your maximum speed?
'About a minute.'
Let's hope that's fast enough.
Back at the Mystery Shack, Prez held Girlie close, muttering over and over that everything was going to be okay. Dipper and Mabel had run off in the forest to see if they could find something to help, and Stan had disappeared into the main Mystery Shack saying he'd try to help as soon as he found what he needed.
Suddenly, there was a flash of white light, and a transparent girl with gray skin and light blue hair appeared. She wore a golden locket resembling Ursula's from The Little Mermaid that seemed to glow every time she talked.
"Girlie? I'm October. I'm going to try and help the headache, and Bill's going to have to go in your head to try to do what he can." The girl kneeled to Girlie's level, and turned a little solid. Her hands started to glow a faint blood red. "Do you think you can trust me to help you?"
