"Helloooooooooo, Gravity Falls! Twice in one century, huh? Impressive!"
It had been ten months since he'd had to deal with Gideon, but for an all-knowing demon from the beginning of time, it felt like maybe five seconds. He normally only got called once a century at most. Twice a year was almost unheard of.
He knew what the little kid in front of him needed his help with, though he wouldn't freak her out yet. She didn't know that the body had to be hid yet. She was just worried for her sister.
"Soooo, GirlOfManyFandoms, your big sister just killed the living ventriloquist dummy, huh?"
The kid was silent.
"Jeez, what are you, mute? Just kidding, I know you're not. Now speak."
The second grader finally remembered how to use her voice. "Bill Cipher?"
"There you go!" He snapped one of his fingers and a deer tooth came into his open hand. He dropped it to the kid in front of him. "Here. Have a deer tooth instead of a gold star."
He expected the kid to freak out like Gideon did, but she just pocketed it. Wow. Witnessing a murder for the first time must take a lot out of ya.
"Gideon just kicked the bucket, right?"
The girl nodded.
"And you probably want me to wake up your big sister."
She nodded again.
"All right. You'll probably be asking me for a couple more favors, but I'll make the deal with your sister. Kay?"
Bill thought she might start to cry, but lucky for him, she didn't. Good. He wasn't good at handling little kids, let along crying ones. Oh, he knew how to, they were just terrified of him.
Bill snapped his fingers.
Prez woke up with a start, sitting up straight. She didn't remember what had just happened at first, but, well, having Gideon's body nearby helped a little.
She shuddered and a lump formed in her throat, but she swallowed it down.
"Girlie?" Her voice was hoarse. "Girlie, where are you?"
She started giving herself instructions, like she had right after her mum died. Instructions to keep her from breaking down.
Stand up. Right foot. Left foot. Right foot. Left foot, right, left, right.
Her mental instructions were interrupted by the attack-hug she received. This time, she squeezed her sister back. She never wanted to let go, but she noticed the floating yellow triangle pretty quickly.
"Who are you?"
"Name's Bill Cipher, Prezanika."
"Don't call me that please."
She was about to protest that nickname when she realized that it did kind of fit her. It was her fault for wearing her Pac-Man shirt anyway.
"I know you need something, so just tell me. I'll tell you what I want in return later."
His hand erupted into blue flames, and he extended it to her. Prez shook it, and took a deep breath before speaking again.
"Will you help me hide a body?"
