“I believe I’ve found the person we’re looking for.” Astrid showed everyone the file she had in front of her.
“How can you be sure?” Onyx moved closer to read the file.
“Well, Angel Halflings are very rare, and I’ve looked through all of their files,” She motioned for the others to join her and Onyx, “These two particular Halflings seems quite likely.”
Bambrielle read the file silently.
‘Given Name: Nomad
D.O.B.: 663, exact date unknown
The space where Nomad’s parents’ names should have been written was scribbled over in black ink, making it unreadable. However, Bambrielle could make out a few letters. There was t, an e, and an f in the first name, and an m, an r, and an l in the second name. That was unfortunately all that she could make out, so it wasn’t very useful.
‘Notes: A very sensitive young man. The fact that he is half Angel has led to a fair bit of bullying. Nomad seems to be very hurt by this, and has led him to bully others as well. He has few friends, and generally keeps to himself.’
“Come on, this guy? I doubt he would go so far.” Bambrielle read the file over again.
“That’s what I thought too, but these two Halflings have very little evidence against them, I’m just suggesting them since we’re so sure that it’s an Angel Halfling we’re looking for.” Astrid placed Nomad’s file back on the table.
“Okay, well what about the other one, then?” Lucas leant forward, running his hand through his bright green hair.
“Well, okay then.” She opened the next folder for the others to read.
Nothing could have prepared Bambrielle for what she was about to see…
‘Given Name: Gabriel
Parents: Alysson Dain, Human, Deceased, Tavmius Cassim, Angel, Deceased
Notes: Gabriel strives hard to prove himself and has done many good things for others. However, he has shown no signs that he does this because he wants to. The chances are that he performs these deeds solely in the hope that they will lead people to overlook his bloodline.’
“Bu-but it may not be an Angel, it could well be another Halfling. This is just from the information I had.” Astrid fumbled, rushing to get her words out.
She looked over at Bambrielle, anxious as to how she may react to this.
Bambrielle said nothing.
“Well, let’s keep looking through the other files, then.” Onyx suggested.
