I knocked on Liam's door. "Come in!" He yelled from the other side. I slowly opened the door and peeked my head in. "Kai, good evening Love. How are you feeling?" He asked with a smile on his face. Ugh it's like he wasn't even mad at me, I feel awful!
"Uhm, can I talk to you?" I asked.
"Sure, of course." He patted his bed telling me to come and sit by him. I walked in and shut the door then made my way over to his bed. I sat down and played with my fingers. "Everything alright love?" He asked me, looking worried.
"Uhm...no, actually things are pretty wrong."
"Look, I know you're worried about Harry, but-"
"No it's not that Liam...." I interrupted him. "I mean yes I'm worried about him but that's not why I wanted to talk to you."
He narrowed his eyes and titled his head. "Alright what's up?"
"Liam...I uhm.." I paused for a minute trying to gather myself together. "I just wanted to say...I didn't mean to....hhhh, what I'm trying to say is that-"
"Kai..it's okay. I know you were scared. It's alright, I forgive you." He slightly grinned.
"Hhhh, I'm still sorry though. I should have just trusted you. But instead I hurt you."
"Nooo. No love I'm tough, why else would I be the leader of my team? It's alright love I promise, sometimes people say things they don't mean. It's alright I forgive you, I'm not mad.." He grinned bigger and stood up opening his arms for me. I got up and ran into his arms. He squeezed me tight and I squeezed him as well. "And Kai...I'm sorry as well...for letting my temper get the best of me.."
"It's alright.." I replied. Hhh man it felt good to know I could trust him now. He did love me, and he did want me in the family. Family...Diana! I pulled away..."Liam there's something I should show you." He looked at me and then smiled.
"Alright love lets see it." I reached into my pants pocket and pulled out the letter. I handed it to him and he unfolded it and started reading.
His eyes grew wider and wider by the minute. He sat on his bed and finished reading the letter. And for once, his eyes filled with tears and he looked so helpless. "Liam? I'm so sorry..." I said apologetically.
"She did love me?...she did...but how? She should have told us." He looked up at me and a tear slid down his face. "Kai...please go get Niall.." I did as he said and ran to the kitchen knowing he'd be there.
"Niall! Niall! Niall!" I ran but couldn't find him. "Niall!" I yelled again. Finally he ran around the corner and came before me.
"Kai?! Is everything okay?!" He asked concerned.
"No....it's Liam....I found a letter from Diana." His eyes widened and he sprinted towards Liam's room I tried to follow but Louis stepped out of no where and stopped me.
"No, love it's probably best you stay in here. They need to have some guy time." He gave a me a sympathetic smile and I sighed and walked over to the table and sat in a chair. "It's alright, he'll be fine." Lou tried to comfort me.
"Who is she??" He looked up and sighed then looked back down to me.
"Diana was girl that Harry brought home, he just can't get rid of the girls who see him 'working'." He chuckled. "When he brought her home, he asked Liam what to do with her and being the great gentleman Liam was, he told her she could stay here, with us. At first she wouldn't look at us. She was so terrified of us. Haha kinda like you were. But as time drew on she learned to trust us. Liam fell in love with her and she fell in love with him...the government didn't trust her though. They told Liam to put her through a test. A test to see how faithful she was towards our team."
"Wait, 'The Test'?" I ask interrupting him.
"Yes, 'The Test'. Sooo...hmm, where was I? Oh right! Liam felt bad about putting her through a test without letting her know but he believed that she would pass. He believed with all his heart...soon it was time for her to take the test and when the man asked her for the favor, she excepted and that's when it went down hill."
"What did the man ask her?!" I asked.
"Hhhh, why do you ask so many questions?"
"Well, be more specific and I won't have to!" I said.
"Touché. Well, the man asked her to sign a form. But not just any form. This form was the deed to her Capture Rights."
"What are Capture Rights?!" I asked.
"Kai!" He yelled impatiently.
"Hhhh, Capture Rights are what gave us the right to let her be ours...basically our welcomed prisoner. And before you ask, yes you have them too." I have Capture Rights?! What else is there I don't know? "So, when she signed her name the man kidnapped her."
"But didn't you guys kidnap her, kinda like me?"
"Do you want me to tell you what happened or not?!" He asked getting upset.
"Alright...so, Liam saw the guy taking her. He ran after her and shot the man. Even though he wasn't allowed to do that, for it was part of the test. He shot the man in the arm and he let go of Diana. She ran back to Liam and he held her in his arms. The man drove off yelling about how his men would be back! Liam and Diana went back inside the house and told the others about what happened. We all agreed that we would leave the next morning as soon as the sun rose. That night Diana tried to run away. None of us knew why. After Liam 'took care' of the whole deal...he stayed in his room for days. He fell in love with her but because she ran away he figured she didn't love him back. After that, he vowed that no other girl could be trusted. That's why we want you to take the test so badly....if you can pass it then Liam will know that not every girl is like Diana, ignorant and selfish." He spat out the last few words.
"Poor Liam..." I said not knowing what else to say. "But Louis! The letter I found! She did love him! She told me!"
"What?! Wait letter?! She left a letter?" He huffed out a breath of air and smiled. "I knew she loved him!" After that Liam came in the kitchen.
"Louis...read this..." He handed Louis the letter and Louis read it. His eyes grew wide as he read.
"Liam...we, but..." He sounded so confused.
"Lou...she left us because she was protecting us!" I couldn't believe my eyes...tough ole Liam was crying...I walked over to him.
"Hey..." He kept crying. "Li." He slowly looked over to me. "We will find her...." He looked back down and sighed.
"No Kai we can't." He said starting to cry again..
"What? Why? I'll help you!" I tried.
"Kai stop!" Louis yelled. "There's no sense in looking for her we know where she's at."
"What? Then go after her Li-"
"KAI STOP!" Louis yelled, slamming his fist on the table. I jumped at his reaction and my heart beat rose. "We can't get her okay?!"
"But w-why?!" I asked scared.
"Because I had to take care of her...." And that was the rest I heard from Liam the rest of the night...he had to shoot her because she failed the test and ran away. My heart ached for Liam. He fell in love with her and had to kill her. No wonder he didn't want another girl staying here, think of the fear he must have that I might fail the test...
I got up from my bed and walked down to my bathroom...after Liam left the kitchen I couldn't bare to be in there anymore. I turned on the shower and stripped then got in. My mind wandered over to Harry...I miss him, I miss being in his arms...he stayed so we could get away. What if they are holding him captive right now? I couldn't take this stress anymore. I knelt down on my knees and cried. I cried and cried and cried until I couldn't cry anymore. I felt like there was no place to turn to, no one to talk to. So I stopped and looked up. "God, if you're up there....uhm...I know I don't talk to you as much as I should, but uhm...please. If you can, please keep Harry safe...." I closed my eyes and laid down. Letting all my problems run down the drain with the water. How did my life turn out so hopeless? Just the other day I was with my friends, and real family, at my house. And now...I'm a captive in a house full of spies who murder people for a living. Hhhh, I sure hope God heard my prayer...it's the only hope I have left.
I got out of the shower and put some of my new clothes on. I walked up to my bed and got in...to be honest, I was exhausted. I missed being with Harry. And I missed his hugs and being in his arms. But most of all I missed his encouraging, dimple filled smile.
