"Rosa, I'd like you to meet Zack," my father smiles at me and motions to the boy standing opposite of me. He has short, black hair; dark green eyes; thin pink lips; around Mason's height; around my age no doubt. "He's your future husband."
"What?" I look at Zack and then my father. "I don't even know him."
"You're going to get to know him."
"Hello ma'am," Zack smiles. "It's nice to meet you."
"I'm sure it's just you feeling that," I scowl.
"Rosa," Father's voice is low and I can tell he's just a tad angry.
"Sorry Father." Not really.
"You two can talk in Rosa's study while your room is being put together."
"He's living here too?"
"Of course. How else will you get to know him?"
"Maybe if you let me out of the house I'd get to know people," I turn on my heel and stomp off.
"Wait up Rosa!" Zack calls after me.
I don't slow down and just rush to my study and flop onto my couch. This isn't going to be fun.
*Thirty Minutes Later*
"I'm kind of thirsty," Zack says. "Where's your personal servant?"
"Where's yours?" I snap.
"Just call in yours."
"Mason!" I shout.
A few minutes later Mason is in the room and standing in front of us. "Yes ma'am."
"I'm thirsty. Get me a water," Zack says.
"Yes sir." Then Mason rushes off.
"You could have said please."
"He's a servant," Zack rolls his eyes.
"He's a person as well. There's no need to be a jackass."
"So the princess swears."
"I'm not a princess."
"You shut up," I growl and stand up. "You are not on a good ground with me and I can get you kicked out."
"I don't think so," he smirks and evil flashes across his eyes.
"I'm going to my room so I don't have to deal with your bullshit." That's just what I do. Rush off to my room and flop onto my bed.
"Zack said you be here," a voice floods my ears minutes later. "Are you really going to marry him?"
I sit up and look at Mason standing in my doorway. "No, but I'll have to get my father to say no too. Or just run away with you."
He smiles, "We could go to Paris."
I smile back, "Maybe we will."
He walks over to me, "We can think it over, ma'am. For now, you should go to bed." He gives me a light, quick kiss on my lips.
"Goodnight to you too, Mason."
He turns and walks out of my room; closing the door and turning off the light. But I hear something. A fight between Zack and Mason happens seconds later right outside my door.
"I saw you kiss her," Zack growls.
"I never kissed her," Mason is so calm.
"I wouldn't lie sir. Even if I did, what do I have to lose?"
You'd lose me Mason. And I don't think I could handle that.
