5. A New Life
Every week I wake up and slip on my Advanced flyer shirt and head to the classroom. So far I've been a cockpit on almost every plane on campus. And I've helped copilot some planes with a pro. My mental problem has no effects on this dream. Today i'm very excited. I will get to fly a jet with my new pilot partner. I wonder who I will get?
I come into the classroom and take my seat. Before I know it all the kids are in the classroom just as early as me. "I guess we'll start early." says hills stepping into the classroom. He picks up a clip board and starts reading off names. "Jake and Taylor. Starflyer jet 460. Alex and Eric. Wayjet 670. Johanna Drake Anthony and Lily you four will be flying a attacksquad plane. and lastly Mercy and May will be flying the divejet 500" I freeze. the diveplane has incredible air control and is small and light. But it also has a large cargo apartment and a loaded shooter.
I step onto the concrete runway for our section and head over to the diveplane with May. "I can handle radio signals and air leverage and all that. you fly" May says. I am a little jealous of May. She is by far the prettiest girl on campus. She has straight blonde hair and bright blue eyes. I step inside the cramped cockpit and take a seat in the pilot seat and fasten myself in. I slip on a radio control and May takes over the rest. "Diveplane take off clear?" May says into the headset. she must have a special line to air control. Then she nods to me.
The sky is a beautiful shade of blue. I soar in and out of the clouds. I cannot belive this feeling. Its a dream. Its a dream. "May are we clear for airtravel?" I ask. "Clear Mercy," She says. I switch into turbo speed and take the diveplane into a nose dive then pushing it up. My radio crackles and Hills speaks to me "Mercy stop, your scaring the crap out of me." He says. I laugh then reply back "I promise to not crash."
I step out of the cockpit of our plane and head over to Hills with May. "How did I do?" I ask Hills. "Fantastic, Capt. Mercy." He says smiling before pining a captain badge from the US airforce on my coat. I gasp and he nods. "See you tomorrow, junior captain of advanced flyers." he says we both laugh. Wow. Captain! Junior captain.
