I woke up to someone screaming. I got out of bed, carefully, being sure not to wake up Molly, and went into the hall way. It came from the Spare Bedroom. Dylan. I reluctantly opened his door and saw him screaming and thrashing around in his sleep. He was having a nightmare. as i got closer I could see he was crying. I kneeled on the edge of the bed and put my hand on his shoulder. I shook him gently but he didn't stop, I shook him harder and he jolted awake. He looked at me startled before his eyes softened and he pulled me into him. This time I didn't pull back. I let him comfort himself with me. I let him hug me. I wanted him to. I laid there in his bed with him, listening to his erratic breaths. after about 10 minutes I moved to leave but his shaking hand caught mine.
"W-where are you g-going?" He stuttered and looked lost and scared.
"To bed." I said gently and his face dropped.
"Oh." He said and he looked like he was going to cry again.
"What happened in your dream?" I asked.
"I'll only tell you if you come and lay back down with me." He whispers but I know he isn't doing this because he's being flirty. It's because he honestly needs me with him right now. I climb back into the bed with him and gently, yet hesitantly, rests his hand on my waist pulling me closer to him. I could feel his hot breath on mine.
"Are you going to tell me now?" I asked.
"i-i don't w-want to." He said and looked away. I honestly wasn't going to push him into it. He looked broken. I laid my head on his chest and let my fingers involuntarily trace over his abs. He shuddered but held me closer. He kissed the top of my head as I fell asleep in his arms.
The next morning
I rolled out of bed early and Dylan was still sleeping. I crept back into mollys room and crawled into bed next to her. She woke up and I pretended to just wake up before her. She smiled sleepily at me and I smiled back. I thought about being wrapped in Dylans arms last night. The way he looked so heart broken when I was going to leave. The pain behind his words when I asked about his dream. I sighed and made my way downstairs Molly trailing lazily behind me. We cooked breakfast together and where stacking some pancakes when Dylan walked in and looked at me his eyes widening in relief. I walked out of the room and he followed catching my hand.
"Where did you go?" He asked, scared.
"I just went back to molly's room in the morning."
He looked at the ground. Then he looked back up at me and I got caught in his eyes. All of my thoughts about him holding me in his arms came back to me and I wished more than anything that he would do it again. "I don't know what to say." He whispered.
"Look if it helps I won't tell anybody about last night." I sighed."you were distraught and I was just helping." I started to walk away but he pulled me back and whispered in my ear.
"You know it was more than that." He said and let me go. I walked back into the kitchen and put some pancakes on my plate. I wasn't hungry so i just sat at the table and played with my food and Molly and Dylan sat down too. I knew Dylan was staring at me but I kept my eyes on my plate. After "Breakfast" I helped molly clean up and Dylan thanked her before leaving. Molly drove me home abut an hour after.
"See you monday babe." She said smiling. I smiled back and blew a kiss to her before walking into my house.
