The loud BEEP of my alarm clock was the first to greet me this morning. Even when it was finished, the sound still seemed to hang in the air of my aqua-blue bedroom, and it seemed as if it was floating down a river into the kitchen when I heard my mom yell up the stairs; "Tidal Dear! Breakfast!! Get up now!". I groaned as I finally managed to pull myself out of bed.
I reached out for my closet, and quickly scanned through it quickly to that perfect outfit of the day. As I looked at the time, I quickly threw on a pair of skinny jeans and a cute shirt from Delia's™. I flew my makeup on, and rushed downstairs. My mum was there, staring at the table and chairs, then back at me. She had set up a delicious pancake breakfast--my favorite-- so I sat down and ate for 30 seconds. I have to admit, they were delicious. I quickly grabbed my bag, and was out the door. I live about 5 minutes away from school, on foot, so I never take the bus.
When I got to school, I was greeted with so much happiness, joy, and love. Especially today. I was turning 16, and all of my friends, and even some of the wanna-be's, were there too. It did irritate me that they had the nerve to bug me, even on my birthday. They know they aren't popular and never will be. I flew through my first 3 periods, and then it was lunch. And, holy crap our tables were full! I mean, instead of taking up 2, we rook up 5! It made me feel like such a princess. So many people were coming up to me, giving me presents, and all that stuff.
"Kyle!! Look who is coming over here! Its Daulton!!!" My best friend Stelianna said with glee. As I looked over, sure enough, there was Daulton, the guy that I had been going out with for the past few weeks but we aren't actually boyfriend and girlfriend. Anyway, he walked over to me, bent down on one knee, and pulled out a ring.
"Will you do me the honor of being my one and only girlfirend?" He asked, with that eye glint look I just love. How romantic is he!
"Yes!!!" I screeched at the top of my lungs. "Yes yes yes!!!!!!!". I stood up to face him, and he stood up too. And we kissed right there in front of the whole cafeteria, teachers included.
Later that day, during science, I was called down to the office. When I got there, I saw that Daulton was there too. The counselor was going on and on about jealosy and annoying others and making them feel bad. I realized this was about that kiss that me and him had, at lunch. Wow. Just wow. I was gonna get detention, on my birthday, for kissing my boyfirend because he asked me to be his girlfirend. I guess the warmth of today was over.
The office called home, and I was grounded for a week. Pssh. Like I care.
