Megan - 18 - slammed her door as she run to her bedroom. She cried into her pillow... Her parents continued to argue, "SHE IS 18 SHE NEEDS TO MOVE OUT!" That was Mr Atwell, Megan's dad.
"IF YOU DIDN'T DECIDE TO VISIT ME THAT ONE NIGHT THEN WE WOULDNT HAVE TO CARE!" Mrs Atwell screamed back and Megan had finally had enough, she cried harder, she was unwanted. Megan never wanted to actually do this she thought things would get better. She stood up, tears falling down her face with her makeup, She grabbed her key, with anger and misery, slowly unlocked her draw, unsure she really wanted to do this. Megan dipped her hand in the dark and empty draw... Empty. Except from one thing... Her knife. She picked it up.
Suddenly Megan heard her ringtone for her best friend, Charlie, she dropped her knife and literally ran to her phone, just under her pillow. Megan felt Charlie was the only person who cared for Megan, obviously there would've been more but... Herself, and her parents were the only ones living from her family on her mum's side. On Mr Atwell's side no one even knew about her, let alone like her if they did.
"Charlie! I'm so glad your here!" Megan suddenly became a lot happier to hear Charlie's voice once he spoke.
"Megan! Hi... Are they... Um... Shouting again?" There was a long pause of silence, the only sound was Megan's parents, "IF YOU TOLD YOUR MUM SHE COULD TAKE HER!"
"Charlie... I'm not that bad am I?"
"Of course not Megan! Stop letting yourself down all of the time."
Megan could here the sadness in Charlie's voice, "why is it always me?"
"What do you mean, Meg?"
"No one at school likes me, not even my parents care about me, I cause all of their troubles-."
"Look, Megan. You are the most awesome person I have ever or could ever know, You're special, don't let yourself down so much, and remember."
"That I will ALWAYS be here for you, no matter what the trouble is or anything. I will be here." Megan giggled, "in fact, it shall be a promise! Megan May Atwell, I, Charlie Kingsley, will always be here for you in every one of your moments of doubt!"
