"Please! Dad-Daddy! No! I don't want to!" I yell from the doorway. "Stephy. Princess, c'mon. It'll be fun!" He says with a pouty face. "Dad! Last time you said that, I broke my arm!" I say giggling. "You can't beak your arm by meeting someone!" "Unless it's a wrestler or a karate master." We both laugh. "Ok. Fine, dad. But this better be fun." I say crossing my arms.
We drive to my new step-mom's house.
knock knock She opens up. "Hi Maura! It's very nice to see you." "Well hello, Kevin. It's very nice to see you too! And who's this?" She kindly says. "This is my daughter Stephanie. Shephy, say hi." "Hi. It's very nice to meet you." I shake her hand. "Well why don't you come in." She gestures.
"Here, you can sit on the couch. I'll be back. I was just making dinner." I drag my feet to the couch and sit. It's very awkward being in my new step-mom's house. I heard that she has a son and I want to meet him but I don't.
Maura comes back to the couch and talks for a little while.
"So Stephanie, how old are you?" She asks. "I'm 15. I'll be 16 in two months." I reply. "Oh, how nice. I have a 20-year-old son and a 25-year-old son. As a matter of fact. Let me get my son." She scurries to the stairs and calls out a name I can't quite make out. I put the pieces together and she called out, "Niall!"
Oh no. Niall Horan?! Thee Niall?! No no no. He can't be. Wait. I can't be! I think to myself. I feel myself sweating, for as my dad knows how much I love the boys.
Maura comes back. "I'm so sorry, those things the kids get into these days. He plays guitar all day and shakes the house. He's always playing those stupid video games too."
Niall skips the last few steps and walk to us. "Hello. I'm sorry if I'm late." He apologises with his thick Irish accent.
"Niall, I'd like you to meet Kevin and Stephanie. Stephanie is your new sister. And Kevin is your new father." He walks over to us and shakes Dad's hand. "So nice to finally meet you. I've heard so much about you." My mouth is wide open. I'm just so shocked.
"Well, now you've met, let's go have dinner." Says Maura.
After dinner, Niall comes to talk to me like Maura. "Well Stephanie. I wanna get to know you. Since you're my sister now, I want to know everything about you." "I'm Stephanie Aoife (Ava) Brooks. I'm 15, almost 16, and I'm learning guitar and I play piano. I draw a bit and my favourite colour is purple and baby blue. My favourite animal is a Tiger and cats and dogs. That's all I really know about myself." I giggle. "Your turn." "My name is Niall James Horan and I'm 20. I don't think you know, but I'm in a band. I play guitar and some piano. I can't draw and my favourite colour is green and blue. I like dogs, and giraffes are pretty cool so I like giraffes. And that's all about me." He finishes. "Let me show you my guitar. I might teach you some, if you want." I nod and shrug and he shows me his room.
It's huge and it has white walls. It's decorated with some guitar posters, and soccer posters, but the rest it's just plain, old white.
"Here's my baby." He says showing me a red Fender Stratocaster, or Strat. "She's very pretty." I say. "Yeah, she is. You know, you are too, Stephanie." He says looking into my green eyes. I giggle, thinking he's joking. "No I mean it." He says. I look into his bright, blue eyes and my smile goes away. "Oh. So are you. I mean... Handsome. You're very handsome." Our lips just inches away. And my dad runs in saying we're leaving. I move away quickly. "Okay." I say to him, smiling. "Wait, were you just about to-?" He says. "No! No no no! We weren't!" We both say. "Well ok. Just askin'" dad says leaving the room.
"Here let me see that." He says taking my phone. "No!" I say. I snatch it away before he sees my wallpaper. My One Direction wallpaper. I would've died if he saw my wallpaper. I go to the contacts app thing and allow him to put his number in. His contact: 'Niallerrr.' I laugh at his choice.
"What?" He giggles too. "I'd love for you to meet my band sometime." He smiles. And giving me a kiss on the cheek. I smile back and walk out of the room. I run down the stairs. "Bye, mom, I'll see you again next time." I say to my "mom" I see her smile as I walk out of the house.
