Everything About You

18 year old, Beth, had tried to kill herself at a young age and no one lets her live it down. She knew it was a mistake, and she has always regretted it. Her parents and siblings love her, along with her whole extended family, but there are still times, bad times, when she wishes she hadn't survived the fall. As she takes care of the animals kept in her room, she gets an unexpected surprise, 3 actually. But one is something she was born with, something that she didn't know about. (Sorry, I keep getting new ideas)

4. Chapter 3: Visits

"So, you like One Direction?" Loui asked. I nodded hesitantly. "How would you like to meet the boys?" He asked."I'd love to, but I can't leave my animals alone without proper care." I said quietly. "Then I'll bring them here." He said. "That would be wonderful! Thank you!" I said, smiling. The kitten jumped off my shoulder and onto the arm of my chair. I laughed and pet her gently. "Her leg doesn't look broken." My dad said slowly. "It's getting better, it just needs more time to heal." I said quickly. The kitten was still healing, yes, but I'd do anything to keep her. My baby sister, Nikki, started crying from upstairs. Finally, I can leave! I thought. "I'll take care of her." I said and jumped up. I scooped up the kitten and ran up the stairs. After my sister finally slept again, I walked into my room.I checked on the animals. There was an odd noise coming from the window. I smiled when I saw a raven. I opened the window and he flew in, perching himself on my arm. "Hey, bud! Hows that leg of yours?" I asked. Just then, my mom and cousin walked in. My mom jumped when she saw a raven. Loui stepped back. "Don't worry, he's friendly, isn't that right, boy?" I asked. He spread his wings and squawked. "I've missed you, too." I said. Next thing I knew, the little Blue jay in the cage fell off it's perch. I laughed. "Oh my! Is it OK?" Mom asked. "Yes, he just doesn't like people. He plays dead when I'm the the only person." I said. Mom sighed in relief. Loui seemed very quiet. "I think you should go, bud. Come back next week!" I said and he took off. I smiled. "There's a Falcon coming this way." Loui said. I turned. "It's Babytooth!" I said. I held out my arm and she landed on it. "How's that wing?" I asked. She stretched what used to be the bad wing. "That's amazing!" I said and she nuzzled me. "Babytooth was the first animal I took in. When I took her in, she was still very small." I said. "Doesn't your arm hurt?" Loui asked in concern. I shook my head. "Touch skin. If she was on my other arm, then that would be a different story." I said. There was a knock on the door downstairs. "Beth! It's for you!" Dad called. I ran down, Babytooth still on my arm. "Oh, hey Kayla. What's up?" I asked. "Baby Eagle, on the street." She breathed. She was only a little girl and really, my only friend. I ran down the street.

*3 Hours Later*

There she was, the little baby. I placed her in a different cage and hung up a new perch for the mother. The baby was fine. Babytooth stayed by Kayla. "Is she OK?" Loui asked. I nodded. Loui's phone rang. "Alright, be right down." He said. He waved as he ran out the door. Kayla soon left, but Babytooth stayed. Babytooth was a big Falcon and loved me. The kitten cuddled my foot. "I need to name you... How 'bout Skittles?" I asked. She purred. I picked her up and smiled. Babytooth soon left and I fell asleep with Skittles in my arms.

Harry's POV:

The boys and I were excited to meet Loui's cousin. He was coming to get us and I was almost jumping. "Harry, calm down." Niall said. I tried, but it didn't work.

*30 Minutes Later*

We walked up the stairs to meet Beth, Loui's cousin. We heard a loud squawk, making all of us jump. "Shh! It's alright, you're baby will be fine." A sleepy voice said. We approached the door with caution. Loui knocked on the door. "Beth, it's me." He said. The door opened. "Careful, the Eagle doesn't like anyone but me getting close to her baby." She whispered. Eagle? We walked in and there were 7 animals. 3 birds, 2 bunnies, a kitten and a puppy, but where was Beth. "Sorry for the little space." She said. Little space? This room was huge! She held out her arm and an Eagle landed on it. Beth, i couldn't see her well, it was dark. "Loui, can you open the window please?" She asked. He nodded and did so. The Eagle flew out the window and the light hit Beth. She was beautiful! Her beautiful auburn hair fell to the middle of her back, her aqua blue eyes sparkled, she was slightly shorter than me, she had perfect curves, and she was wearing a cute little beanie. I couldn't take my eyes off her. Zayn smacked my arm and I snapped out of my thoughts. "Are these all you're pets?" I asked. She shook her head. "The birds are wild, the other ones are strays I have to find homes for when they're better." She said. "Wait, if the birds are wild, then how did you have the Eagle on your arm?" Liam asked. "I don't know. I just have a connection with animals." She replied. I caught a glance of her arm before she fixed her sweater sleeve. I swear it was my name. "Was that a name on your arm?" I asked. Her expression went from happy, to nervous. "Why would I have a name on my arm?" She laughed nervously. I shrugged. I went to the bathroom and I heard hushed voices from Beth's room. "No! Liam! Please don't!" Beth cried. "Harry!" Liam called. "Liam!" Beth was almost in tears, I could hear it. "You're a really asshole!" She screamed. No more voices. I walked back into the room. Liam was on the floor with a bloody nose. I looked around, but no Beth. "Where'd she go?" I asked. The boys pointed to the window. I looked out and saw her running. "Beth! Wait!" I called, only making her move faster and disappeared into the woods. "Did she just punch him?" I asked. They all nodded. "I don't know why, she's been so kind ever since..." Loui trailed off.

Beth's POV:

Trees flew by as I ran. I hated myself. Why would I do that? That's not anything I'd do! That's not me, not me at all. I soon stopped at a small clearing and fell to my knees. I cried into my hands as I thought back to all my mistakes. I realized, the whole stairs thing wasn't a mistake, it would have been a gift to everyone if my sister didn't hear me. Then I realized that it wasn't a mistake, I still had a family, and if I hadn't survived, then what would all the animals do? I continued to cry my heart out.

She lives in the shadow of a lonely girl
Voice so quiet you don't hear a word,
Always talking but she can't be heard,

You can see it there if you catch her eye,
I know she's brave but it's trapped inside,
Scared to talk but she don't know why,

Wish I knew back then,
What I know now,
Wish I could somehow,
Go back in time and maybe listen to my own advice,

I'd tell her to speak up, tell her to shout out,
Talk a bit louder, be a bit prouder,
Tell her she's beautiful, wonderful,
Everything she doesn't see,

You gotta speak up, you gotta shout out,
And know that right here, right now,
You can be beautiful, wonderful,
Anything you wanna be,

Little me

Yeah you got a lot of time to act your age,
You can't write a book from a single page,
Hands on the clock only turn one way,

(Yeah)

Run too fast and you'll risk it all,
Can't be afraid to take a fall,
Felt so big but you looked so small,

Wish I knew back then,
What I know now,
Wish I could somehow,
Go back in time and maybe listen to my own advice,

I'd tell her to speak up, tell her to shout out,
Talk a bit louder, be a bit prouder,
Tell her she's beautiful, wonderful,
Everything she doesn't see.

You gotta speak up, you gotta shout out,
And know that right here, right now,
You can be beautiful, wonderful,
Anything you wanna be, oh,
Little me

Little me, yeah

Tell you one thing I would say to her

I'd tell her to speak up, tell her to shout out,
Talk a bit louder, be a bit prouder,
Tell her she's beautiful, wonderful,
Everything she doesn't see.

You gotta speak up, you gotta shout out,
And know that right here, right now,
You can be beautiful, wonderful,
Anything you wanna be,
Little me

I'd tell her to speak up, tell her to shout out,
Talk a bit louder, be a bit prouder,
Tell her she's beautiful, wonderful,
Everything she doesn't see.

You gotta speak up, you gotta shout out,
And know that right here, right now,
You can be beautiful, wonderful,
Anything you wanna be,

I'd tell her to speak up, tell her to shout out,
Talk a bit louder, be a bit prouder,
Tell her she's beautiful, wonderful,
Everything she doesn't see.

You gotta speak up, you gotta shout out,
And know that right here, right now,
You can be beautiful, wonderful,
Anything you wanna be,

Little me

That song played in my head a few times until I felt eyes on me. "Beth?" A smooth sweet voice said softly. "Please, leave me alone." I said. "No, Beth, I won't!" He said, and I heard fast footsteps. "No!" I shouted and spun around with my hand out. He came to a halt. "Please, just leave me." I sobbed. "No, I don't care if you want me to leave or not. I followed you, I jumped out a window for you, I'm not leaving that easily." He said, coming closer. He jumped out a window... Isn't that what I did? I needed a quick exit, he could have used the door... I felt arms around me. Strong, warm, welcoming arms. "Why do you run from yourself?" Harry asked. "I don't know, Harry... I just don't know." I said.
