This is something I wrote in my English class when we studies conflict poems. Hope you like it.

1. Soldier

It's not until this very moment,

When I'm about to die,

I think of all the pain I've felt,

And I slowly start to cry.

Fires blaze and bullets soar,

Shrieks of fearful pain,

Soldiers march, different ages and size,

But brothers all the same.

They ready their weapons and stare ahead,

They shake from cold not fear,

And while their hearts are full of strength,

They might shed a final tear.

Running, running, through the marsh,

They follow the corporals call,

They fight, they shoot, they defeat, they kill,

They love, they pray, they fall.
