"Now what?" Niall got out at the evening. Harry and he sat on the couch and watched a movie. They were tired and the day had been fantastic.
"I don't know." Harry whispered and then looked at him. "I guess I'm working on Monday and we struggle on with life?"
Niall sighed a little bit and nodded. He seemed just generally tired, but still he was thinking about something.
"There's one thing I'd like to do, but I don't know if I dare." He looked at Harry and smiled weakly. "I would like to see if dad is still alive and if he missed me."
Harry sat directly up on the couch and nodded weakly. He understood that it was something significant for Niall, getting an end to what has happened.
Niall seemed unsure about what to say.
"I just want to show that I survived and I'm not an idiot."
Harry took direct his arms around his body and held him gently in his arms.
"No, you're not an idiot."
Niall smiled and hugged him back.
"I know and you know it, but not my dad."
Harry was surprised over Nialls old block. The houses were worn and everything looked like something out of a war movie. The people who walked on the street looked anything but normal, and he wondered if Niall was aware of it. Niall held his hand tightly and led him on.
"I know it doesn't look like where we live now." he said, smiling faintly. "But once the houses were okay and all who lived here had a job. That changed when I was little and they sent instead the outcasts to the aria and those who don't have jobs."
Harry tried to imagine how it might have looked like, but he had a hard time imagining that part. Not even the asphalt was hole and there were holes everywhere. Talk about the fact that Niall really came from the slumber. Harry came to mind when Niall first came to Harry. He had been anything but a normal guy and he didn't even know how to eat food. Okay that Niall had changed and become a more mature man, but it was hard to understand his background.
Niall stopped outside a house. Harry watched the house and saw that the roof tiles were broken and even the windows had long since lost its function. Niall shook and seemed scared. He held Harry's hand tightly and appeared to look at the house.
"It looks worse than when I lived here."
Harry believed him and smiled weakly.
"You have been away from your home long time?"
Niall nodded and met his gaze.
"So we'll tap or should we just let it be?"
Harry pulled directly with Niall towards the door and he chose to knock. The doorbell didn't work and the door looked not so confident. It was broken and it was almost enough to knock on it, and it went broke. No person opened the door and no one seemed to be in the house.
"Are you looking for Horan?"
Both Harry and Niall spun around and saw an old lady. She was walking with a walker, staring curiously at them.
"Yes!" Niall got out himself and smiled weakly. "Bobby Horan?"
She came towards them and laughed a little bit.
"You will not find him. I think he's dead but the police were here a few weeks ago and talked about that he was wanted. I don't know for what, but I can think of drugs."
She nodded with satisfaction and looked at them.
"Yes, he was doing lots of things. He had a son once, but the boy disappeared. I think he also died. His wife was a wonderful woman, but after she died, he tracked out and gave no shit in anything. I felt sorry for his son! "
Harry knew that Niall didn't want to tell that she was talking about him.
"So he's gone?"
"Yes, and soon the whole block. They shall destroy everything and rebuild. I guess it's about time they do something about the area. It would be nice with flowers and some trees."
Niall smiled faintly and agreed with her.
"Well, it's not the best area?"
Niall showed Harry around in the area and showed him where he used to hang out. When they again came by the house, Niall stopped and stared toward the door. He seemed to dream himself away and he seemed sad. Harry realized that he had wanted to talk to his dad and told him about his new life.
"Is he dead he already knows about everything." whispered Harry, hoping that the words would console. Niall nodded weakly and wiped away a tear.
"I guess so, but I had wanted to mention that I'm not an asshole."
Harry hugged Niall directly and felt him shaking.
"Honey, you know the fact. It never was you who did wrong, it was him."
They left the area and slowly began to walk home. Niall was silent all the way and seemed anything than talkative. When they arrived at the house, where the apartment was, he stopped and looked at Harry.
"You know what?"
Harry met his eyes and shook his head. Niall smiled weakly and held his hand as tenderly as he could.
"No matter what you say or think, you will always be my angel. You found me when I needed you and you will always stand behind me, whatever happens."
Harry laughed and shook his head.
"No, I'm anything but an angel."
Niall disagreed and gave him a kiss.
"Well, for me you are a great angel with white wings and you will always light up my life."
The small end.... :3
