“I’m sorry,” we both blurt out at once.
“You’re sorry?” we both state again.
“I’m sorry about keeping you from Niall. I shouldn’t have done that. You two are just friends and I got way too overprotective,” Zayn says really quickly.
“I’m sorry I about everything. From saying I hate you to ignoring and... just everything,” I add, happy that we are finally talking again.
We both pull each other into a big hug.
“Does this mean we are okay?” I ask hopefully.
“Mostly. I still want you to be able to tell me about... anything,” he says, obviously talking about that night.
“Zayn, I’m still not quite ready to tell anybody. It’s not just you. I think I might be soon, though,” I assure him.
I see a bright smile come across his face at the thought of me confiding in him in the near future. I hug him again before we walk out to the rest of the boys. The three look at us hopefully while Niall looks down as always.
“Did you make up?” Louis asks excitedly.
“Yeah,” I giggle. “We’re okay now.”
Zayn and I both give sincere smiles as we take our seats again. The boys begin to talk as I zone off. After another half hour of this I go and take a nap. Now how was I going to repair things with Niall?
I am woken up a few hours later when Louis whispers my name.
“Wake up, Arielle! It’s time to party,” he says as he does a funny dance move.
I can’t help but laugh and climb out of the somewhat comfy sheets.
“Where are we now?” I ask him as we wait for our luggage.
“Washington D.C. I believe,” he replies as he takes his case from one of the men.
“No way!” I screech.
I have always wanted to visit this place, but we have never been. I am totally spending the rest of the day sight seeing.
“Please, Louis, can we please go explore?” I beg him as the man brings out my bag and I take it from him.
“Yeah, of course. We have an off day tomorrow so we can go then, alright?” he offers as we climb in the elevator.
“But I want to see stuff now,” I whine.
“Well I am going to take a nap. See if one of the other boys want to go with you. Maybe Niall? You two have to learn to get comfortable with each other. Otherwise, this is going to be a long tour,” he points out, and I know he is right.
“I guess. I’ll ask him,” I respond as we head into our room and set our stuff down. “Later, Lou.”
“Bye,” he calls as I walk out of the room and next door.
I knock three times before Harry answers.
“Hey. Come in,” he beams, opening the door even wider.
“Thanks,” I whisper as I walk inside to see Niall sitting and watching television.
He is wearing a tank top and I try not to stare at his muscles. No! I cannot be thinking Niall is hot. That would totally ruin Zayn and me again. I’m not falling for him now, am I? Talk about bad timing.
“Hey, Niall? I was wondering if you would want to come see some sights with me?” I ask as he just looks at me with an unreadable expression.
“Sure,” he answers eventually, standing and following me out the door.
We stay silent until we get in the car.
“Where do you want to go?” he asks, buckling himself up.
“Everywhere,” I say seriously, but he laughs.
“How’s about we start with the Smithsonian?” he suggests and I nod.
We are silent again until we arrive and get into the Natural History Museum. By now Niall has put on his glasses and hat.
“Oh my god! We have to go see the Hope Diamond!” I exclaim, getting dirty looks from the people around me.
“You’re such a girl,” Niall jokes as we walk in the right direction.
“Thank you,” I laugh as I blush slightly and look away so he doesn’t catch me.
I have to erase this little crush I am getting. This could turn into a lot more trouble than I have already caused.
