I dangled upside down on the couch just thinking about this past week. All the people who showed up out of no where, which reminds me... "Niall!" I practically shouted. I quickly shuffled for my phone.
I went to my contacts and called Niall. "Hello?" He asked in the phone. "Hey, Niall." I said. "Emma! Hey!" He said, happily. Well he sounded happy. "Hey." I laughed. "What's up?" He asked. "Eh, not much..." I paused. "Want to hang out?" I asked. "Um..." He said.
"What's wrong?" I asked. "Nothing, I'd love to hang out." He quickly said. "Where do you want to meet up, or I could pick you up, if you want." He added.
"Heh, well I don't exactly have a car." I said. "I'll pick you up then." He laughed, causing me to giggle a bit. "See you soon." He said. "You to."
We then hung up and I quickly changed out of my uniform into something more comfortable. I got my light blue ripped jeans and a plain black t-shirt.
I waited in the living room for Niall. As I waited, I scrolled through the newsfeed on my phone.
I was interrupted by a message I had received. I went to my messages to see what it was.
From: Harry - So, want to tell me what's wrong yet?
To: Harry - Nothings wrong. I've already told you that.
From: Harry - That's a load of bull. I know something's up.
To: Harry - And what makes you so sure?
From: Harry - I can see it in your eyes.
To: Harry - cliché
From: Harry - Whatever, Em. But its true. I'm going to come over again tonight and talk to you.
I decided not to reply. Anyways, if he does decide to come over, I probably wont be here.
Someone knocked on the door, and I assumed it was Niall. Which it was.
"Hey!" I said as I opened the door. "Hey, you ready to go?" Niall asked with a smile. "Yeah! Let me get my keys." I ran off to get my keys from the counter dividing the kitchen and living room. "Ok." I couldn't help but notice that he smelt a little like smoke. Not like a fire, but cigarettes.
I decided to ignore. Plus, it may be from a neighbor he hangs out with or something.
We walked down the stairs to his car. "Since when were you able afford this nice car?" I joked, insulting yet complimenting him. He laughed. "Um, I got a job." - "Must be a good one." I commented.
"Not so much." He mumbled. I pretended not to hear him, incase he didn't want me to hear.
"So, where to again?" Niall asked, starting the car. "We could go to the movies? Or get ice cream?" I suggested. "How about both?" He asked.
"Uh yeah!" I said happily, considering ice cream and movies are my whole life. He laughed and backed out of the parking lot.
As we were driving, Niall decided to start up a conversation.
"So, um..." He mumbled.
I looked over to him, with a questioning look.
"Where did you go when you ran away?" He asked.
