My mom and I had just arrived at the airport. I hopped out of the front seat, grabbing my backpack and pennyboard before taking my suitcase out from the trunk. I had about an hour before my flight took off so I turned to my mom, pulling her into a massive hug.
"Thank you for letting me go Mom, it truly means so much to me!" I said as I squeezed her.
"I know, Sweetie, don't worry about it. Just remember to get all your homework done we don't need you falling behind now." I nodded and released her before walking into the airport.
"I know, Mom, I gotta go. Love you!"
"I love you too, Honey, have a safe flight, take lots of pictures! Wait, do you have your anti-anxiety medication? You don't want to have a panic attack over there." Typical Mom.
"Yeah I have it, and I have my calming meds too, I have it covered"
"OK Honey, have a safe flight, bye" I said a quick goodbye before entering the giant airport. Finally after the weeks of waiting I had only twelve hours until I would finally be in the arms of my four best friends and more importantly, the boy that I am in love with. If only he knew.
I just hope I don't have any panic attacks. I have an anxiety disorder that I developed when I was in elementary school. Kids picked on me terribly because I was over-weight and I liked to read and write stories. It got so bad that I had to move, but not before I developed the disorder. I only moved districts and I moved in the fifth grade. I can't imagine a better place to be.
The best part of the whole trip was that only Calum knew I was coming, the other three boys were totally oblivious. To think that this all started off as a joke. One day we were skyping and I was saying how cool it would be to surprise everyone. Before I knew it, Calum was texting me saying that he got permission for me to come visit, but not to tell anyone becuase it was a secret. I felt so devious, but I liked it.
Calum and I had a special bond. Sure I was really great friends with the rest of the guys, but originally, it was just Calum and I. When I first met Calum, he was an awkward fourteen year old on a webcam. We were connected to each other on Omegle and we talked for hours. He became like a second brother to me. Almost two months after meeting Calum, he introduced me to Michael. I became friends witht the two of them right around the time that they were just starting to like Luke.
I love all the boy, just not in the same ways. Calum, Mikey and Ash are like my three big brothers, they're very protective over me and I can talk to them about anything. Even though I already had a brother of my own that loved and cared for me, they were just as loving and just as caring.
Luke, however, is the sunshine of my world. He takes my breath away with even the smallest of smiles. With one scentence he can turn even the worst of days into one of the best. I still remember when Calum and Mikey introduced me to Luke over skype. It was quite Cliche actually.
I had just gotten home from school and I was so done with everything and everyone. I had just gotten a message from Michael saying that he and Calum had great news and that I should call them when I got the chance. So I did, turning on my laptop and calling them, they both sat there with dumb smiles on their faces. I tried my best to act normal despite how angry I was. I figured that it was just about the girl that Michael had a crush on. He had been wanting to ask her out for a while now but never had the courage.
"So, whats this fabulous news? Is it about Skyla?" I asked. As soon as I said her name, Michaels face fell into a frown before perking back into a smile.
"Sadly no. BUT! We made a new friend that we would love for you to meet!"
"Alright, I would love to meet them, if they make you guys this happy they must be special!" I smiled at them and they just sat there. After almost a minute of staring at each other through our webcams, I started to feel awkward.
"So, uh, where is this person exactly?" I asked, scratching me head and looking around my room.
"Oh, he's in the bathroom!" These boys were just weird. I nodded and we started talking about our days. I was in the middle of explaining my horrible day when Calum's bedroom door opened reavealing a tall, lanky boys with shaggy blonde hair. He looked to be about fifteen and I felt my body turn into a livewire just by the sight of him, my words of expressive hatred coming to a halt mid-scentence.
I later found out that it was in fact Luke Hemmings, the boy that Michael hated for most of the year. I had heard all about him. I had never seen him but from how Mikey talked about him, I didn't really like him either. Boy was I wrong.
As I made my way into the airport, I walked over to the check in desk. I handed over my luggage after waiting in the long line and recieved my boarding pass before making my way to the security checkpoint. After I cleared the rent-a-cops, Benji and I were off to the food court. It was lunch time and I still had about forty minutes until my flight boarded. I am definately eating before, God knows what nasty food they will have for us on the plane.
I propelled myself through the terminal until I arrived at the best place to go to for food in Buffalo. Anchor Bar. Sure it was rather expensive but they had some of the best food around. Hot wings, pizza, lasagna, ravioli, subs. They have something for everyone.
I rolled my board back and forth with my foot as I waited in the queue. A few people were in front of me but it didn't take too long before I ordered. The airport had mostly business men and women, not too many people although not many people fly out on a random Thursday in March for vacation.
I ordered enough food that I wouldn't be hungry until I landed. I would still be hungry by the time we landed but I had a lot of snacks and I planned on sleeping too so it wouldn't be too bad.
When my order was ready I went over to the waiting area, sitting in one of the uncomfortable faded orange chairs and tucking into my food. By the time I finished, I ended up with half of my sub and a few of my chicken wings. I wrapped them in the tin foil they came in before putting them in a Tupperware container that I snatched from home, putting it into my bag and pilled out my cell phone.
I opened my notifications to see a few texts, a snapchat and Wattpad updates. I had four texts, One from Sam and another from Shawn, both expressing their hatred. I replied with my condolances and opened my two texts from Clara.
From: Clare Bear Batman Twinzie! "Text me as soon as you land!"
From: Clare Bear Batman Twinzie! "And don't forget you have to have someone record their faces when you surprise them!"
Clara was not only one of my best friends, but she was my sister. My twin. We were like the same person. We have known each other for a while, we met online, on Omegle, just like Calum and I. We were all fast friends. Once I introduced her to the guys we all became like one big happy family! I could not ask for five better people to have in my life! It sucked having Clara in Puerto Rico and Luke, Calum, Ashton and Mikey in Australia, but what could you do.
To: Clare Bear Batman Twinzie! "Don't worry, I will, and I will most definately record you surprising them as well! I can't wait to see Calum's face when he see's you!"
Clara and Calum were dating, they have been for almost a year now. Not many people knew about them, only the people that they trusted and the people that absolutely had to know. Their fans were totally oblivious to Clara and I even existing. It was a mutual agreement between the six of us, for our protection. The boys don't even follow us on Twitter with their official accounts, we have no ties to them that could even cause the slightest suspicion.
From: Clare Bear Batman Twinzie! "Yeah, I can't wait to see Luke's face when he see's you! He is totally in love with you!"
To: Clare Bear Batman Twinzie! "He is not you Goober, you are only saying that becuase I love him! Anyways, my flight is boarding, Love you!"
"Flight 275 to London, Heathrow is now boarding."
From: Clare Bear Batman Twinzie! "He does, now get on the plane! Have a safe flight Baby Issa, I love you!"
I loved that girl! I really did. We had such a strong bond that you would think we knew each other all our lives, not three years.
I stood up and threw Benji into my backpack and pulled out my boarding pass, ticket and passport before entering the queue to board the plane. I soon entered the plane and made my way to first class. Calum was too good to me!
I pulled out my phone from the front pocket of my hoodie and unlocked it. I opened the KIK app and pulled up Calum's contact.
To: Cal-lal-lal-lum ;) "I'm about to take off, thanks for first class, my love!"
From: Cal-lal-lal-lum ;) "It was no problem. cant have my Bunny flying coach, what kind of big brother would I be if I left you in such horrible conditions??"
To: Cal-lal-lal-lum ;) "Not a very good one I guess! Are you sure that they don't know we're coming?"
From: Cal-lal-lal-lum "They have no idea, don't even worry about it! This is going to be great! Have a safe flight. Get some sleep and do your homework so we can partay all weekend! Love you Bunny!"
To: Cal-lal-lal-lum "Good, I can't wait to see their faces! Love you too, BYEEE!!!!!!"
The flight attendants started the safety demo going over what to do if anything were to happen, how to use the life jackets, how to use the oxygen masks etc. Once they were done I plugged my headphones into my phone, and pulled out all my homework papers and started in on the colossal pile. This flight should be fun!
